NOT!!!
Oh my little one is wearing my out today!
He's 17 months old, and he's at that stage where he just has to get into everything, and hearing mommy say no is the funniest thing! One of his favorite games is to run up and slap the TV and run away laughing before mommy can catch him. He also likes to hit the power button as often as he can, which of course infuriates his siblings who are usually trying to watch TV, or else it infuriates mommy who's trying to leave the TV off while the other children do their homework and chores.
He also just loves to climb! He's become a pro at climbing up on the sofa to get into the window. He'll also climb over the other sofa, onto the freezer, and then get himself in and out of his high chair. Last week he'd stop at the freezer and stand on it and play.
Today he's discovered how to climb onto the dining chairs and up onto the table.
Needless to say.. I'm exhausted!!
Do you have a child currently in this stage? What was something your child did when they went through this stage?

I hate that age too. They get into so many things. The things that stand out in my mind both concerned my daughter. At about 2 she had used a chair to climb up onto the freezer and then gave a little leap and she weqas hanging from her fingertips from the top of the fridge ahouting "Help". This was funny and not too scary as she was such a scrawny little girl
The second one was when for a split second I could not find her and was running through the houes to the garden calling her name. I heard a voice saying "Here Mummy, here". to my horror she had climbed up the safety grills in front of the entrance doors to the house and was on the roof of the house peering over the side. I was telling her to stay there and do not move. I was so scared. Fortunately ther were workers in the yard who climbed up and brough her down. She was 18 months at that time and it could have turned out so badly. Thanks for the memory

I have a 3 1/2 yr old and a 14 month old. The 3 yr old tortures the one year old by snatching and the one yr old has learned if he hits the magic buttons on the TV or the remote he can change the tv or turn it off and infuriate his brother! The one yr old just started walking so he is ALL over the place and they are now getting into some adventures together, like let's see what happens if we flush this red ball down the potty!
LoL that was fun to deal with!
And best of all the 3 yr old now says I am not his mommy and he doesn't like me! Boy did he get in trouble from Daddy when daddy heard that one! He also has discovered running to one of us and saying to me daddy is mean or mommy is mean!
But the greatest thing my 3 yr old has done and I have a picture to prove he did this... Is put his daddy in the corner! Me and my husband are both wrestlers so we play a little rough sometimes well my son saw my husband playing with me and thought he had actually hurt me so he told his daddy to get in the corner. When he didn't get up to go to the corner my son dragged him there and stood with his little arms folded and made sure daddy stayed there! I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe and I actually was shocked I could focus the camera long enough to snap the pic!
I am exhausted but I always seem to find something these two little boys do that makes it all worth while! Even though tiring and trying it is worth it all!

I could see my 3 year old doing something like that too.

My "babies" are 2 1/2 years and 1 year old so I am currently on either end of this stage. My 2 year old recently came out of it and my 1 year old is about to enter it. The 2 year old was a regular little monkey, climbing on EVERYTHING and she also loved to jump. We recently broke her of her jumping habit and fortunately the majority ofthe climbing ended right around her birthday. The 1 year old loves to climb the stairs right now, mainly because they are the only thing he can really get on, but he tried to climb up on the furniture so I am sure he will be very soon. The only advice I can give is to hang there. It will get better...eventaully.

I have a 3 year old who wasnt' nearly this bad at that age. His most favorite thing to do was to turn daddy's computer on and off over and over. It wasn't that big of a deal because he really only did it whenever daddy wasn't around. It just drove me nuts because I knew how much energy it was wasting!

My daughter went through that stage about a year ago. Fun isn't it? She would climb on everything and she would turn the TV off and on, change the channel, and blast the volume. As I am sure you already know from your other kids, it will pass. While you are going through it though it seems like it is never going to end.

I put him down for a nap just so I can get a break from it! Naptime never comes quick enough.

ha ha I remember the days!!
My two are 2 and 3 and are little monsters in their own right. I've got the 2 year old throwing strops from hell for no apparent reason and the 3 year old is listening to and relaying EVERYTHING he shouldn't. Like he said in the car earlier Mum, you're weird aren't ya.
That was after the weekend where he was trying to see our neighbours (from hell) over the fence and was shouting HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! My hubby murmured to him don't do that darling, don't speak to them they're a bit weird. Within 10 minutes he stood at the top of his slide pointing over at them shouting DAD THEY'RE WEIRD - MY DADDY SAYS YOU'RE WEIRD!!!
