I recently fell for a scam where someone said they would sign up as a referral under if I did the same for them. I signed up as their referral at the free site they requested, sent them my referral link to the free site I requested. I never heard back from this person, never got the sign up, and had to cancel and report the person's actions to the site. Is it so bad to have a "one hand washing the other hand" attitude? If I offered to sign up at one of your free opportunities in return for your sign up at one of my free opportunities, would it be wrong to acknowledge a persons willingness to want to be a part of a team?

oh so sad, you know what i've also got scammed by someone when i tried to go on to a referral exchage. we made it on a site, and i just realized that there are a lot of complaints against that person. we reported him in the forum but he keeps on saying that he is not a scammer, and he is making a lot of alibis and stories. same tactics he used to some members.

You have made a very valid point. "It pays to have friends/associates/contacts, whom you work together with". When someone sends you an invite/offer you can check with your contacts before taking action. If everyone you are in contact with gets the same offer from the same person, you can even make a game plan so you will all benefit and help each other. Did you ever have a few good contacts ask you to join the same opportunity that you just joined, hoping they will join you? That's why it pays to work as a team and keep the lines of communication open.

yes because i made a search on the site, and i saw complaints to that person and so i sent PM to them, confirming if that person has really scammed them and its true. After I confirmed I made an action to report him on the site itself. Good thing is everyone has supported so I'm not alone. Now when I go back to the site I cant see any new from him. Ref exchange for me is somehow effective, I have made a lot of consecutive exchanges through that site, and other like sites, and even here and yet everyone is good, but not for that guy above. Don't loose hope, just try more ref ex, but you must have to look on the reputation or standing of the person you want to make exchange with, ask if he is an active ref so you would know. And try to find a way to contact him, so you could remind him if he's not doing his part.

For Referral exchange do it on a referral exchange site. Or as part of a downline builder forum type of deal. Usually best way to do it IMO.

IMO? where is that?
ref exchange is the best way to get a real active referral, not if your referral has scammed you of course. for downline builder, there is a possibility that the one who will sign up for you is just until sign up, so the chain is broken. the best way for me is to offer referral deal. i just made my own 100% refback deal offer, hehe. but the downside is, you share your earnings down to your referrals by paying them what you earned from them.

IMO is short for "in my opinion". I haven't had any luck with referral exchange sites, nor downline builder things, even the forced matrix things never produced a downline for me. That's my opinion and experience, maybe I just haven't found the right one to join.
