listening to music while running!

hey myLot runners! I'm sure many of us do this. In fact, it even gives us more energy, guess as it helps to divert our attn away from the fatigue. But my issue here is, do you guys have any suggestions how this can be done? I mean, I have this sound-isolation/cancellation costly earpiece from creative, which I have no wish to stain with my perspiration. I also have this cheap headphone, but it has the muffy cover over the speakers, which are bound to get wet and spoil easily when I run and perspire. How you guys overcome this?! Any products or ways?

I saw some earbuds on the Nike website that are supposed to work a bit better for running. Personally I don't listen to music currently while running. I like to just focus on looking at scenery. But I think on a treadmill I would have to have music or something or I'd go crazy. But running outside maybe eventually I would use a single ear bud or something, so that I had an ear still available to hear anything crazy happening around me.

I just use 'bud' or 'earbud' headphones. They are the ones that are little plastic circles that just go in your ear. You can pick them up fairly cheaply. I wouldn't use any with foam, because they would get sweaty like you said. I think the ear buds stay where they are supposed to be better when you are bouncing around.

Yar I guess ur right. And I assume you're referring to the bud-kind as the in-ear kind? Hmm, ytd I went for a fitness test my company carried out. And it was then I realized another problem. And that's for such in-ear kinds, cos they're tight to the ear, don't u agree that when u run, and the wires bounce, the effect is very large on your ear? I mean like you can actually hear the bouncing of the line, and it creates a very loud unpleasant noise? Any ideas to overcome this?

I use cheap earbuds. I keep one in an ear and the other I tuck in the back of my bra so I can hear out of one ear and the dangly one doesn't get in the way. Though my last run my music was bugging me so I just carried the player in my pocket unused. Next run (tomorrow) it's not going with me.

I use these cheap headphone that curve and wrap around to the back of your ears and they stay on when I run, you should try buying those kinds and see how well your running goes then. :)
