No more TV for me

As of Friday I can no longer watch television from my apartment. I did not prepare for the digital conversion and it will be a while still before I can do anything about it. I was actually home this evening for a change but I will have to try and catch my favorite shows online from now on. It's the end of an era...
I've been wanting to upgrade to a TV with the split screen feature for ages and lately I've wanted a less bulky model; not necessarily a flat screen just something significantly thinner than what I have.
I had planned to get one as a birthday present to myself but then all sorts of stuff kept coming up and Friday I had to get a new radiator which now needs a new thermostat...
It's always something.

Yes, it is always something. But even if you do everything they say, you may or may not be able to get everything. We can't get our local station, only one station, we can get everything else (over a hundred stations), but we can't get it. However, we are better off than many others who did everything, and can't get anything, or can only get a few stations. Some can switch to cable and some can't.
I hope that always something doesn't come up any more and that you can upgrade and receive all the stations you want. Good luck.

Well, I haven't really been around enough to miss it but it is nice to have options. I hope to get it all resolved in a few weeks. Still trying to get the rain gutters put back up.

I hear you about the rain gutters. We're having a problem getting our screens for the porch redone. They were destroyed by the wind this past winter. Thank you very much for best response. Take care and hope it all works out for you.

I sometimes watch while I am eating but it is also usually on in the background while I am doing other things. I keep it on at night sometimes while I sleep and it's just something I have gotten used to.

I had a few setbacks myself and there is always something else that takes priority. Friday it was a new radiator and in the meantime I am trying to get gutters put up on the house.

We don't have to worry about the digital change. We have Dish Network. Although, our television is HD ready, so there might not be any problems there. When we bought the television, the guy we were getting help from, told us about the HD change, so we were prepared long before this all happened.

Well, now I have Direct TV so I can watch again. I'm just hardly ever there.

I don't have to worry about the change to digital! I have cable and if you have cable you don't have to worry about it! I'm glad for that! I can't afford a new tv right now and I can't live without a tv! It would be to quiet and it would drive me nuts! I need noise! So no worries here!

When I am on this side of town I usually fall asleep with it on. It will be strange to sleep without it! My family has satellite TV next door so eventually I will have it back here as well but for now...

it thinks better about not seeing the tv.....
why? think it...
the new era with this digital conversion it gives one better syntony you, image and by all means the indexed channels of each transmiter example:
channel 39 of san diego cal, give tyo you 39-1 chnl, 39-2,39-3, and 39-4 .... 3 more options to see, in fact this new era , it is better than the cable systems and without paying but that the converter only the first time,, try it

I live in hurricaneville, so I need a TV. There is plenty of informational and educational progeramming available as well if I have the time to watch it. It is just good to have options.
