We live in a Close and have neighbours on either side. I must admit I dont like the idea of people just dropping in unless it is family. If they ring first then that is okay. So just like the hi or how are you type of neighbours. Do you like them popping in all the time?

I dont mind my neighbours since we dont really talk to them and they dont bother us. Wich kind of sucks since I would like to get to know our neighbours but its kind of hard to get to know them. Seems everyone wants to be left alone in our neighborhood wih isnt a bad thing.

I've never had neighbors popping in. I love my neighbors, though! I can sit on my porch and we'll wave and say hi, maybe a few words or a long conversation, or we can wave and go back to what we are doing with no offense on either side. My neighbors are so nice!
If your neighbors pop in unexpectedly, don't answer the door or answer it and tell them you're busy. Have the phone to your ear or something. Eventually they'll get the idea. Or you can just tell them to call before they come over.

Ofcourse we do like our neighbours because they are your immediate relatives. They are the ones who reaches you first in time of emergency. A level of decency has to be maintained by all but when it is missing you can't do much, just set a better example when given a chance.

My neighborhood isnt that attached. We are nothing but Neighbors. Everyone keeps to them selves. Except once in a while my mother talks to the Lady in the house infront of us, but the conversation is usually initiated by her anyways. The neighborhood is calm and open to almost anything/anyone.
