successful relationship

To fully understand the balances needed in a relationship you need to expirience the unbalance first. The main tings to have love in a reltaionship is respect and trust. If you don't respect your partner (which can happen in many forms) then you need to change that. And if you don't trust your partner (which also comes in many forms, one I know is overjelousy) then you are better off not have started the relationship. You cannot love someone you do not trust nor respect in a long term relationship. The balance is to make it 50-50 (like everybody says) and not to take too much control, nor do nothing at all. It's complicated to write it all out, but you'll in need find the answer soon.

in order for a relationship to succeed, there should be understanding, trust and respect with each other... Without these three, it wont make a successfull relationship... I believe that expressing your feelings to your partner also plays an important role to have this kind of relationship.

i do agree that respect and trust should be balanced in a relationship. :) but i'll add up another one, lovers should also balance their time for each other. it's not all the time that they should be together, even married couples need to have spaces... they should learn to prioritize what's more important. :)
