Subject ideas for discussions

I am wondering if this happens to others. You think you have nothing interesting to say or post. You are responding to another discussion. All of a sudden you get an idea into your head from the things you are posting in that other discussion. You quickly (but meaningfully) finish what you are writing and then rush off to start another discussion. This happens to me a lot, so much so that I get an idea for something and then by the time I am finished with what I am doing, the idea just vanishes. Sometimes it reappears but I have "lost" a good many of my ideas for what I consider to be interesting discussions this way.

Yeah it happens to me. I get ideas for discussions all of a sudden but it mostly happens when I am not online.

Isn't that something? I love to write but when the thoughts are flowing they flow so fast that I cannot keep up with myself. Interesting that you get more of your ideas when you are offline rather than the way I do, that is when I am writing, something else pops into my head but I have to catch it fast or I will lose it. I appreciate your sharing your experience.

Lol, that doesn't really happen to me. I just post anything I learned from my expirience in life to help others. I have the idea in my head after I'm done with what it was for, I forget it and start off with another one. I don't know why really...

Well you are lucky and you must be young. When you get to be over 50 you will know what I mean. You will be heading to a room and then when you get there you will not know what you went to that room for. It is good you can share your experience to help others. That is a very noble thing to do. I appreciate your responding to my post.

Well, I posted a GREAT response once that I decided it deserved its own discussion, so I lifed my response, added stuff to it and made a discussion out of it. No, normally I don't get discussion ideas out of other people's posts that I respond to... http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1814327.aspx?p=1#1_10173591

I get ideas for posts when I'm away from the computer, but by the time I get online, I've either forgotten them, lost interest in them, or see that somebody else had the same idea. Most of the time, though, it's because I can't be bothered.

Never happen to me - I'm not much of a discussion starter. Mainly because I get bummed out when people don't respond. =P What happens mostly though is that I would think of what would be an interesting discussion while I'm living life and as soon as I sit down and ready to type - I've lost it! It's just poof! Gone with the wind. I also tend to rant and go on and on and on when I answer to discussions. I don't know why that is. Other than sometimes going off on a tangent, I don't think I ramble THAT much. Or do I?
