Mine are not to take things for granted, I think most of us are guilty of this, that we take so much for granted that we don't realize what we had until we lose it. Secondly appreciating what mother nature has given us and enjoying our surrounds, like listening to birdsong, seeing the sunset, smelling freshly cut grass, seeing rainbows, and seeing the leaves change colour in fall. And finally grabbing every opportunity that comes your way so that when you get old you can look back with fondness at everything you have achieved just by taking the opportunity and enjoying every moment life has to offer.

Hello Wolfie
These are such wonderful answers. Nature is always there for free and is full of amazing things...a definite happiness booster. I agree, too, that we should never take life or people for granted, but appreciate it all. Thank you for your insight.

My three tips are: Understanding that I am in charge of my own happiness. doing for others for no other reward than giving, and for me being with animals.

Excellent tips, Pat. It took me years to quit "depending" on things or people outside myself to make me happy. As you said, that is our own responsibilty.

These are great tips. A positive outlook always helps, and no one should be taken for granted. And yes, thinking before we act can save a lot of grief!

My top 3 tips for being a happier person are:
1) To remember that happiness starts within yourself
2) Always look for the good even in a bad situation
3) Do something nice for someone each day. What seems like a trivial thing to us could mean the world to someone else.

These are excellent suggestions. Yes, our happiness is up to us, not others. And always there is a positive or a blessing, even in the worst of times. And none of us may realize the impact we really have on another, so we should indeed be kind and helpful.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

I think my three tips would be: live with no regrets, be happy and love yourself, be happy and love those around you
