Getting A Discussion On The Top List

I have been looking around a bit and havent really seen anything that explains how discussion topics are rated up to be on the "today's top" listing. I have seen some posts in there with 2 replies and other new posts with more than that not in the top listing. Could somebody please explain how this all works and also how, if at all, it affects your own personal ratings. Does starting discussions raise your earnings any, or do we still get the same no matter what we do?

You have to be creative in what you are writing about in order for something to be in a Today's Top list. It's like making a blog or an article in a magazine. What people here would read is something that would attract them from their interests. The more amusing your topic is, the more will come to reply back to it. And so I've heard yes earnings are raised more by making your own posts, replying back to those who have responded to you. I've spoken about that as to about making a thread where others can share their own ideas depending on the topic. Well I say to you have fun and improve.

I remember a friend of mine posted that she didn't expect on of her topics to be popular or on the top. Something about if people brush their teeth while in the shower. Yeah it's a bit odd how the system can work here in Mylot, but people seem to enjoy it.

Most of the things in the top list dont intrest me at all, some dont even make sence from thier titles alone, maybe thats how people are being creative, by making titles that make people scratch thier heads and wan to at least go read it to see what the author is talking about.

As said too there can be awkward titles of a topic, but it's where the people end up replying and talking about more. And that even happens I would say in any other site that involves posting topics, discussions, threads and forums. So then if something to be called "Today's Top Discussion" Surely that discussion is getting high ratings and everyone seems to be liking that post.

Well all I say as long as you're having fun with Mylot I think you shouldn't worry so much if your discussion makes it to the top list or not. I think I only had one that made top discussion, but I'm just here for having fun and meeting people. Well I hope it works out for you. Happy mylotting!

Yeah I hear you on that. I sometimes go through today's top list and wonder, "Wait how in the world that got up there?" And you're right some topics are just weird and not so interesting. I don't know, but hey we're getting paid LOL

Ohh, I'm not really concerned about my posts making the top list, I'm just curious as to how they get there. like I said on my previous reply, most of the top list doesnt intrest me or make sense. Maybe the question I'm meaning to ask is what is the exact criteria for a discusion to be placed on that list.

i think in many cases the discussions who is in the top list because theorically during that day they received more responses than others!! So i noticed this you mentioned in your post so the explanation coming in my mind is that may be people have started from few time this discussion and so it kept much posts till it is started!!So probablyin the top section is rally refreshed soon by the site and so sometimes you can see some that are started good as responses but not as much as some others!! Anyway this don't affect your earning i guess as well...

This post has gotten a good deal of responces already, more than some on the top list, but I dont think it will show up there. Right now it's active abd people are posting to it so in theory, it should hit the list for at least a minute or two. as soon as I post this comment I'll look at the top list and see if this discusion is showing, although I doubt it will be. Thanks for the reply.

What helps and works for a discussion to being in a top list is where most users have posted a response that has attracted the user to reply to. What also helps is commenting back to the user from their response from your discussion. It creates it to be like a thread to say I remember a friend of mine here mentioned that. So then the more users that are able to respond to your post and you by commenting back eventually will end up being in the "Today's Top Discussion". I would say at least 5 or so responses can end up being there, but that's if users are responding to that topic periodically, otherwise if not it won't be on the Top list.

I dont know, like I said, I've seen discusions in the top list that only had 2 replys, I would really like to know how the system works all that out. I know there are rating buttons for every discussion and each reply, but I dont know fundamentaly how they work towards getting your discusion in the top list or if it helps your personal rating any. I understand completely what you're saying, and that would make sence, but discussions on the top list with harldly any replies doesnt make sence to me at all so I'm hoping somebody can clarify

I have to say yes it could be the ratings of what people have rated, since it is a new thread that is the type of discussion that is now being talked about more at the moment and time. So then for people who want to find topics of what is today's top then by all means read it up, reply what you can and get paid doing so. I hope this helped.

I think MyLot needs to add more things to thier FAQ for people like me that want to know about every little detail. I have so many questions about this site and how things are how they are. I suppose in time I'll figure it all out on my own but a heads up in the begining is always helpful. Thanks for reading and replying to my post
