Sometimes I'll see someone who I think I know, but when I call them by name, it's not that person. Does that ever happen to you? I get so embarrassed when I do that. I've been mistaken for other people more than once, and I've approached others actually starting a conversation with them without realizing they weren't who I thought they were!! How many times does that happen to you?? Take care all MyLotters!

No, I never faced that situation, but I find it difficulty to know who is who whenever my friends come to meet me, actually they both are twinsisters.. that is the problem. But I have seen people doing these mistakes, my neighbours and other family friends faced such situation beacuse my mom and her sister they both look alike :) though they are not twins.

I know, so many people in the same family can look alike. But I've seen many people, even while on vacation, who look so much like someone at home!! Someone once said that we all have doubles!

I've heard of that happening!! Are they twins, or they just resemble each other a lot? Thanks for responding!

It did happen to me. I was being friendly so I greet that particular person. Then I realized she wasn't the one I thought she was. But I carry on with the conversation and pretend like I didn't make a mistake but simply trying to know a stranger. That's why it's important not to greet with name. Just a simple 'Hi!' would do. It's easier to cover up after that.

That's a good idea. But it helps if the stranger is friendly! The trouble with me is that I always call them by name...oh well! Thanks for your response!!
