Generally when I am done with my work, I'll call the cab driver to pick me up, one day he said he'll be coming few minutes late, So i waited later one of my colleague's have dialed from my desk, though I knew it that she dialed from my desk, it totally went out of my mind and few minutes later I have redialed and started talking to him asking where are you ? how long you'll take, do you need few more mins?
Do you know to whom I spoke?? that was my colleague's boy friend lol.. Did you ever face such situation

Well, it's funny. Did you know he is your colleague's boyfriend when you were talking to him? I don't think I've ever face such situation, first of all, I seldom dial the wrong number. If I did, I would just apologize and hang up the phone. When someone called me by mistake, I would just tell him that he's dialed the wrong number, and hang up the phone too.

Yes, I have dialed wrong numbers and have received some as well. But I never tried to talk to them and start a conversation. Whenever I call and if it happens to reach a wrong number the i would simply say sorry and hangup. If I receive then it will be same:)

Sometimes because of excitement to talk to a person, i was also been done this before.
I am calling my cousin but i did not look carefully whose number i am calling. When someone answered the call i started to talk after a hello. I am just thankful that the person i call to was also my cousin but he was not the cousin i intended to call. He only said. "I think i am not the person you want to talk with". When i said the name of our cousin too. I only smile and replied 'Sorry", then i end the call.
Its funny sometimes that we do not really intend to call wrong number, or the number is correct but the person is not the person we intend to talk with.

No, once I dialed a wrong number, and someone picked it up, I automatically knew that I dialed a wrong number, and I shouldn't continue this conversation. I definitely going to hang it up, and say "sorry, I dialed the wrong number."

lol that's funny. I've done that before, but the best story is when I called the right number and talked to the wrong person.... for over 2 hours. Well, when my husband asked me to marry I decided to call and tell all of my friends. I hadn't talked to one for awhile and fogot how much her little brother sounded like her. (he was about 8) I dialed and thought I was talking to my friend, well I told this poor kid all about my marriage coming up and my love life. I just kept going and going thinking it was my friend. I have to say I gave a bit too much information to the poor kid about certain things he probably shouldnt know. He finally said, charity... jessie isn't home. I was soo freaked out I hung up. I called her as soon as I could to apologize. Lesson here, even if it sounds like the person you know, ASK before rambling.

I've often just pressed redial thinking that my grandma was the last person i phoned...sometimes i get my mom or my boyfriend and sometimes it really throws me for a loop (esp whent i get my bf not grandma) and i say "you're not grandma." The first time i did it my boyfriend paused and hes like "no sweetie I'm your boyfriend did you just push redail cause we were talkin about 15 minutes ago" To which i had to say yes i'm sorry i did.
I've had people call me looking for nsomeone else and end up chatting with them. OR often people call my mom's and i answer the phone and they talk to me like they think I'm my mom or my sister and then they ask something i can't answer and i say hold on I'll go get mom or steph and theres usually this silence and then a you're not....? and I say no but i'm saundy.

Yeah.. sometimes I answer my sisters call when she is not around orelse when she goes for a shower and their friends or colleagues talks to me thinking that they are talikng to my sister. And I'll just make sounds like yeah, ok. As soon as my sister comes I just give over the cell to her and will leave from there. I like doing that, especially with my sister's friends.

No, I haven't unless an old friend dialed my number unexpectedly then i would have a long conversation. But i did experience being called by an unexpected sales person or an agent on the phone, which dialed the wrong number. oh, hell she didn't care she just kept on rambling about the product that she wasn't aware that she called the wrong person. So, i hang up.

I have dialed wrong numbers before but when I started to say Hi or when I heard the people, I probably figured I dialed a wrong number and said sorry I think I dialed a wrong number. I never started talking before I realize that is not the person I 'm looking for :-p

I always make a habit of asking who am I talking too, so I hardly face this kind of situation. My mom don't anyway.
She always assume all numbers are correct and the owner will never change the number. She just dial (even via mobile phone where the numbers are perfectly display) and talk without asking who is she speaking which. Then if it's a wrong number, she takes a long time to explain instead of apologizing and hung up.

Your mom verymuch resembles like my mom... her eyesight is poor and when my phone beeps, she will just try to read who is calling and thinking that it might be her sisiters she will answer the call and will continue speaking, some times it can be from Banks and some turn to be wrong numbers :) Everytime I tell her to put on the glasses. :)

yes i did, i have ever dialed wrong number and started to talking with the unknown person. We started to know each other and made any good conversations. Mostly when i dialed wrong number, it always directly to the woman. So it is good to make a good conversation.

Yes but not me but my dad. The thing is the other guy on the line will listen every single thing you tell them like some eaves dropper and then they say wrong number.

yup it happened to me a couple of times already. i dialed the wrong number and i started talking to the person that i thought was my friend. and later on ive noticed that he was not talking at all and just listened to what im talking about. and then i asked him if he's still there. he told me that am i sure that he is the one i was really calling cause he dont have any idea about what im telling him. i was really so ashamed and all i could do is say sorry and hanged up.

We always do that intentionally when we were young. I was the one dialing numbers and my cousin do all the talking. When I was in grade school my classmate and I dialled a wrong number we're calling somebody else but it seemed that we've pressed something wrong and our call landed in the province. I thought that we got the correct number because my friend chit chats like they've known each other for a long time. He even told the person on the other line that he will be doing something in the afternoon and meet there for a coffee. He really is silly. When I asked him what did they talked about, he told me that he made up everything. They've been on the phone for 20 minutes.
