I just bought this game this weekend, and ive been playing online nonstop. I love it! The strategy, the graphics, the maps, its a great game. I tried out the campaign, but it seemed a bit too complicated (After Rome Total War, thats saying something). I put a video up on my youtube channel of some online gameplay. You can check it out here http://www.youtube.com/user/ShamooGames. So has anybody else out there had the opportunity to play this??

I've tried it once. Whoaa, the gunpowder units are epic! Much better than in Medieval 2 Total War (Of course it does!). Whenever I command a land combat, I feel like that I'm in 'The Patriot' movie. Holding musket, march, fire. Very 'enlighten'.
However, I do agree that this total war is much more complicated than before. Perhaps because it aims to add more realistic to battlefield, or because of the sea battle.
Personally, I prefer to play Medieval 2 Total War because it gets me to the medieval era when war needs a huge number of army. In addition, it gives me a simulation about how the politic in medieval era runs. The pope who holds the control of catholic faith, the 'dying' roman, Byzantium empire, the muslim's rise, mongol invasion etc.
Nevertheless, Total War is the best simulation of war games at all time!

Yeah,
am a great fan of the total war series !!
Love Empire and also Napoleon Total War.
The only thing is that in the battles, the graphics is Great, but most of the time you have to zoom out to have a better view of the battle field so you dont enjoy all the graphics :(
