The "Shot Heard 'Round the World" was fired because of a gun grab!

"Those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it". Most of Western Culture knows about the battles of Lexington and Concord. They were the opening battles of the U.S. Revelutionary War. What many people don't seem to know is what started those battles in the first place. In short, British Colonel Francis Smith and his men marched on Lexington and Concord (as well as the modern day Arlington) to seize the weapons. We are a nation because enough of the colonists were willing to stand up to tyrants who would disarm the people. Are we so cowardly that we would demand our government accomplish what the British failed to do back then? To surrender your right to defend yourself is to surrender your rights completely.

Indeed this is what the amendment to your constitution is aimed at; the right to bear arms against invasion or tyrannical government. It is not intended as licence to habitually wear a side arm and go around shooting up school kids all the best urban

It figures that someone would bring a school shooting into this. I think we need to outlaw knives too because people get knived every day. Oh, and ban those baseball bats. A lot of crimes get committed with them too. We should only allow registered baseball players to carry them. Quite simple, it IS a license to habitually wear a side arm if we so desire.

It may have been decided that it is legally a licence to wear a side-arm but that was not the intention all the best urban

I find it fasinating tha somoeone from a nation for whom the declaration of independence was written to, is claiming to know our constitution better than someone from the nation who adopted said consitution.
