Is the Internet useful for getting information? It sounds like a stupid question, but there is so much information out there, and much of it is not relevant. The Internet seems to be more about marketing and entertainment. For example, at my school the computers in the lab are supposed to be for research, but I see most of the students on Facebook and Myspace and other social networking sites. And as more information does digital how will be able to sort through all of it? I was thinking that perhaps the people who are able to effectively sort through everything will have the most power in society because they'll have control over the information.
What do you think?

That's true. You want to search for one thing and loads of information about it turns up and we end up being not sure which one to use. There are people who put up info and yes Internet can be a great marketing tool. It all depends on how good you are in finding such info from the internet and put it to use.
