I Want To Stop Sneezing!!!

Anyone else having this problem? I have never had allergies in my life, but all of a sudden, I can not stop sneezing. This is more than crazy, and I've already taken over a half a box of Claritin (I mean the big box of 30, the big EXPENSICE box of 30) and I'm still going absolutely crazy. Mom told me that a lot of people up here in Ontario that never had problems before are having problems. Is there something new in the air? Anyone else sneezing your head off out there? What are you doing to control your sneezing?

I have not been sneezing much due to allergies this year at all. When I do suffer from it, I take me an allergy pill and stay indoors. My husband and daughter had alot of allergies this year though. I think it was from cotton weed.

Yep, we moved to the desert of Southern Cal and I haven't stopped sneezing since. My eyes are a very nice shade of red and it's really hard to breathe at night. Changing my diet has helped with the breathing but eye drops have made my eyes worse and the sneezing . . . won't stop. Of course, menopause doesn't help either, since now it seems I'm allergic to make-up.

So sorry to hear that. I don't have allergies either, but lately I have been sneezing... not exactly a lot, but certainly more than usually and very strong sneezes as well. I have noticed people complaining more about allergies as well. Maybe there is something in the air? Hope those sneezes go away fast and you don't need another box of claritin :)

I recommend you to visit a specialist. As fas as my personal experience goes, I developed a chronical rinitis during the last six months which got me to a polypoidal mucous formation in the maxilas sinus which I will have to remove by quirurgic means. It is better to prevent than to cure!

I have it occasionally. I'm not sure what causes it... could be the dust in the air, and I'm sure I'm allergic to elder flowers. Your diet could be part of it. You need to build up your immune system by eating plenty of vegetables and fruits. Besides that, a daily teaspoon of local honey, or a nettle tea will help, although it takes quite a while to build up the resistance. I found quite a good article for you online, which explains the cause of sneezing and the fact that pharmaceuticals don't actually cure; they just cover up the sneezing for a while. It makes an interesting read, which I've noted. I already drink green tea but often, a pineapple and grapefruit one. This week, I shall be buying some nettle tea, for sure! I hope this helps you. http://www.coloradodaily.com/news/2008/sep/22/stop-sneezing/ Brightest Blessings.

allergies can pop out of nowhere at any given time. several years ago, one spring, i started getting hives all over my body. finally my doctor sent me to a allergist and the tests showed that i was allergic to certain trees and grasses! i had never had a problem like that before. i got shots for a year and now i am free and clear. go get tested.

i take benedryl.that usually stops it enough to make me feel human again. could be new arrivals to the area planting stuff.i know where i lived in arizona, they had to make a law preventing new residents from planting mulberry.so many brought it with them,it was making people sick,me included.

Have you tried Benadryl instead of Claritin? For some people Benadryl works better.

I used to have allergy problems to pollen and such. This one tree I am allergic to the blossoms and the street is lined with them! I am telling you, god as my witness... 24/7365 I was sneezing and runny nose and the works! COuldn't wait to get to work and didn't want to leave as I didn't hve the problem there! But at home, 1/2 hour later.. it started.. Boy I should have bought stock in Kleenex!! We moved and the sneezing stopped and I haven't had but a very mild attack maybe once or twice in the last 7 years! My kids would always try to make light of the situcation for me and COUNT my sneezes in a row! My "record" was...22 sneezes in a row!! I swear, that is the truth! And not just little sniffle sneezes... these were full blown (no pun intended!) on-the-money, hard core sneezes to the point I would literally fall to the chair or couch or whatever was closest cause I just couldn't even stand up anymore! Sure glad those days are over!

We move a lot so I have to get used to tons of different seasons and smells and it can be overwhelming. When we lived in Florida my son would sneeze everytime he walked outdoors, in California, he never sneezes. I guess you might have to see an alergist, sometimes when you get older your alergies act up.
