How many hours do you work everyday??

I have been working for more than 10 hrs everyday in the last 2-3 weeks....How long have you been working everyday?? How do you feel when you work more than normal??

I usually work 8 hour shifts but, with travelling, finding a parking space and walking to my department, I'm away from home for about 10. Some days, I do a 14 hour plus shift (7.15am - 9.40pm) but I dont work a full week. The most consecutive days I've worked recently is 8 & some of those were in a second job which is only 7 hours. When I do the 'long day' I usually fel a bit of an energy drain around 4pm and then pick up again so I'm wide awake once I get home and then cant get to sleep till the early hours of the next morning.

Hi Wizzywig,
Its nice to know that i am not alone who works for suc extended hours....LOL
I know its really frustrating when we work for such long hours during the week.
So whats ur routine on weekends when you have such long working hrs.....i prefer sleeping thru the weekend..LOL

My workplace is open 24hours every day so I do weekends/Bank Holidays on a rota system. I know my hours a couple of weeks in advance but dont have set days of the week. It worked out that I've had a few days off but have to do Fri/Sat/Sun this week. I am being a bit lazy today but got to the gym and spent some time gardening and doing laundry yesterday.

Hi Wizzywig,
Even i worked in such a working environment a couple of years ago in a call centre, where we were told when we have holidays on a rotational basis.
Dont you get frustrated when you are told not to take leaves when you want them and you need to have them when the company tells you...??
