I do think they feel depressed....and lonely.....and excited....I think they have most of the emotions that we do. And yes....a pet can sure pick up your mood.

The Dogs as children, they always rejoice when you turn the love on them.Depression can appear from separation with master.

yes, dogs do get depressed. Yes, a dog can help you get depression out of your system, all pets for that matter. It is called "love". It is hard to explain it because it is immeasurable. it is like being with someone you really like. doesn't it take your blues away?

Hey vanities! I so believe that our pets can be depressed too! Sometimes when I look at my kittys I think that they are feeling depressed so I try extra hard to play with them or give them some kind of treat to make them feel better! And yes, I do believe that they do know when their "MomMom" is feeling depressed too! I think that they just feel it and try to be more loving and sweet to cheer me up! Animals can sense these things. I really believe that they just know these things!

YES A DOG GETS DEPRESSED. It can be from your mood , or they r just bored. To get a dog out of this and maybe yourself. You already know what your dog likes, to go for a walk, chase a ball in the backyard or go for a run in the park that cures all ills for a dog , but what does it 4 u, maybe the same thing I hope.. REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV YOUR DOG / PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

Dogs are alwats happy. The wag of the tail proves it so! My dog has his tail on automatic. Once he sees a person he knows he wags it slowly. Once the person notices him and interacts with him hes a wagging machine. I guess seeing him happy reminds me that he has no worries in the world (that or he doesnt care!) and I reflect that upon my self. Dogs are good companions they never complain. And unconditional love doesnt hurt either!

Of course yes, animals are like humans have feelings too. We may not realize their feelings but you can see it by their gestures. There are times that you can see that your dog isn't feeling good and not too happy just like any other regular days.

wow you are right even though I have never though about it liek this and I suppose like humans they sometimes feel no in the mood and lethargic.I dont know what will get them out of that phase but I suspect a good move would be to a meal ,playing with them and taking them for a walk or doing something with them that you know they like
