I am shocked to see when champion india team crashed and exit from ICC World Twenty- 20 Cup, so early and the way they exit and they way they are playing is also shocking atleast for me. I actually expect the outstanding play as they show in South Africa but its not happen at all. Its worthless to discuss now, but then also we can talk to each other through this medium to share the real reasons, for such a show from indian team. hope for the best performance in the coming time. its only, i can say atleast at this stage. thanks for reading the discussion and for your responce too.

There are so many reasons if we want to analyse the case. First of all the plans made went all wrong. Then there were all the off form players. India may have thought no body can beat them in T20 what proved to be very wrong. hey did not play seriously.

I think there are two reasons for the failure. The bowling is pretty ordinary, including Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh. Ishant Sharma did not provide the expected breakthroughs and was not able to contain too. Irfan Pathan is pretty pedestrian. India lacked attacking bowlers. Their spinners were also far behind the spinners from other countries, like Botha, van der Merwe, Murali, Mendis, Afridi and Saeed Ajmal. When the better bowler R.P.Singh came on board, the tournament is almost finished. The other problem was the failure of batsmen against short balls. West Indies clearly had a plan for the Indian batsmen and Engalnd just had to copy the formula for success, which they did effectively. India may also have suffered from lack of competition until they met West Indies. The Indian batsmen were used to playing lesser bowlers in IPL and the first two games against Bangladesh and Ireland would have given them too much of confidence. When they finally faced quality bowling, they succumbed to it due to complacency. Let us forget what has happened so far. Look forward to the West Indies series! And of course the women's team in the T20! Hope they can do what the men failed to achieve.

I actually feel that the think tank did not prepare for the matches seriously. There were strategic blunders in each of the match along with technical blunders. Technically the new crop have been shown up against both the bouncing ball as well as the spinning ball. On the flat track these are bullies, but on tracks with bounce and turn these are sissies. Strategically, Dhoni has had probably his worst tournament. Sending Jadeja ahead of Yuvraj defied logic. In fact, his selection ahead of Ojha was also against any logic. Similarly in the last match against South Africa, the way our players played SA spinners was as if they have never faced spin ever... All in all a complete systemic failure... It would be interesting to see how they come back from this... Cheers! Ram
