What should I do for a birthday party for her? I have a few ideas but I wanted to see if my mylot friends or anyone else could help me come up with some ideas about it. I want to have a big party but than again I might want something small. Any ideas are welcome so please let me know what you all think

Try a princess party if it is going to be girls coming to the party. Alot of the girls love to be pretty Princess. It just an idea and you can get a princess cake with cinderella and Pocohonas Snow white.

My daughter is a little princess too. I did that one year and I thought about doing it again. I might do this as well. I think I could get some cool things from like the dollar tree and throw a pricncess themed party. Take care and thanks for the idea happy mylotting as well.

my close friend's grandaughter recently went to a party for one of her friends that i thought was a cute idea. T HEY HAD SOME HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS COME IN & THEY FIXED THEIR HAIR, DID THEIR NAILS SHOWED THEM A LITTLE ABOUT MAKE-UP ETC. They really had a fun time & felt so important & pampered.

I would just have some cake and ice cream at a local park or something like that. Alot of kids can come and possibly bring your child a gift and they can have some fun on the slides, swinga and things too.

I thought about that too. Great minds think alike. Where I live though I think I have to rent the shelter though in order to keep our place so to speak. I have plans to do something. I might even have it at home but my place is small and I want to have a big party, maybe? Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback happy mylotting to you off to comment or respond to one of your discussions. Take care :)

my mom always said the age plus one was a good number for a birthday party - tho my parents did a special, roller skating party for our 9th birthday.

well, it was also rather expensive, even 40 odd years ago, I would say, either let her invite 3 or 4 good friends over for a slumber party (and don't worry if they stay up all night), or do the games and cake and ice cream for 10.

Rollerskating sounds like fun but my daughter does not know how. I do but she does not go figure that huh? Anyway thanks for letting me know about this and happy mylotting to you as well.

In my opinion,a big party is unnecessary for a little girl. You can buy her a lovely birthday cake, and buy her some cute toys. And take her to the park to have a good time with family.I know,as a mom you want to give your daughter the best, but in our country, the parents won't spoil the children in order to let them be hardworking and thrifty. And happy birthday to your lovely daughter!

Thanks yeah I am still not sure what I want to do for a party. Thats why I wanted to post it here on mylot and see if others could give me some ideas that I could do for her party. I think so far I have not really made a choice. I am hoping that I get a lot of responses on this so I can really have a great party for her. Take care and happy mylotting to you as well.

For my grandaughters birthday we went to a park. We invited our family and friends and had a potluck. It was a lot of fun. almost a family reunion. Your daughter will be nine maybe she would like a swimming party at the rec center, or maybe a slumber party with her best friends. You can have cake and icecream along with some movies that girls that age would enjoy with snacks and soda and they can stay up all night (if they make it) and watch movies. Good Luck and have fun.

I know my girls love to swim. That is a great idea really, I wonder if I can rent out the pool here where I live and see if I can do it for a couple of hours. I know when I was young my parents were going to do that for me but they never did. I know they wanted too. Take care and thanks for the great ideas. Happy mylotting to you as well.

Well it's really hard to suggest mainly because I do not know the personality of your child. If she is still the young little sweetie she is, a party with flowers and fairies, a fantasy land would be very much appreciated by the child. If she is an anime lover, a costume party would be so adorable. I guess asking her what she wants (if it is not a surprise party) is the best thing to do.
