Funny thing I was just thinking today how much I miss my very first car. It was a ford sierra, 1993 classic, 1.4 horsepower. I drove that baby so much that I still don't understand how it never broke down. Smashed it a couple of times because of over speeding but that car was my pride and joy and I loved it more than life itself.
What was your first car and what was the highlight of your life with that car?

I know I wish I still had mine.. Mine didnt have air conditioning but it had a powerful stereo play and well you better believe I put the volume up loud all the time!
I got home one day and found my dad had sold it without my permission.. I hated him for it and didn't speak to him for 10 years! funny thing is I have never seen a car like mine since.. I would pay big bucks to get it back

lol... its a fun thing to think back on your first car. That feeling of independence you get when you get behind the wheel of your very first car! My first car was an old geo metro. I bought it off a family friend for 200. He had been given the car for free after it was "totaled" and had fixed it up. The poor thing could only go 75 max. when it was going 75 the whole car would shake violently. It also shook violently whenever the air conditioner was turned on. I sold it a few years later for $600. I loved that car.

My first car was a Datsun 310GX. I think it was about an '80 or '81. It was similar to a Chevette but with rack and pinion steering and a sunroof. You could practically think your way through curves. It handled great, At least until I was coming back from a 3 day road trip and fell asleep and drove it off the road, slammed into an embankment at 65 miles an hour. Spun it twice, and walked away without a scratch. Good Times.

My first car was a bran new 1973 Chevy Vega. My parents paid for half of it as a graduation gift and I financed the rest. It was a very pretty blue and I liked it a lot but the Vega had a problem with it's engine so I had to trade it in a year later for another car before it blew up. The highlight of my life with that car? It was the car we used as a getaway car when my first husband and I left the reception after our wedding.

Hi jellymonty! My first car was a 2000 silver ford focus. I had the hardest time getting it and it was'nt my favorite but it got me around. I remember my dad taking me to a dealership and I hated all of the big 4 door cars they had. To me they all looked like the kind of cars gang members drive, lol. It's not like I wanted a Mercedes either, I just wanted something decent. Then when I finally saw the Focus it turned out that someone was test driving it and it looked like they were going to buy it. So the sales guy convinced us to go inside and after a while of trying to get us to take one of the ugly cars his manager came by to say hi and he just happened to mention that the Focus was available. My only good memory of that car is that I met my husband while I had it. He hated it because he does'nt like american cars. His fav are Toyota and Honda and he's also a clean freak when it comes to cars. So I later found out that the first time he got in my car he thought it was the dirtiest car ever, even though I only had a McDonalds bag from lunch in it, lol. Happy Mylotting!

Good to all of you here that you have your first car. Here in the Philippines it is difficult to have a car. It is very expensive. I am still dreaming to have my first car. I don't know when can I have one. I don't care if the brand or model is not that latest as long as I can have one will be fine for me.

It was Chevrolet malibu. A very nice car, mid-sized, just perfect for my day-to-day needs, and for travelling arounf town and country side too.

First car I really owned, bought by myself was an '83 red VW Rabbit.
It was an ok car, but I'll never forget one time I was using it for the first time, all dressed up on a weekend night, I chickened out of a party at some place I wasn't sure if I was invited or not ... he-he, I didn't even made it to the door !!

My first car was from Toyota model 95 i guess, we bought this as second hand. We still using it and dont have problems encountered just mild one. I am happy to have that car eventhough its a second hand car we do value it and cherish because its our first car and i dont know when will be having a new one. But no matter it is brand new or not the important thing is your happy and satified with what you have right now. Thanks for open up this discussion.

I had an 82 Chevy Blazer 4x4. It was blue and had the top that came off, so I drove around like a star with my friends with me. It got horrible fuel milage and I had to get rid of it within a year because of transmission problems but I loved that thing. I was 17 and so very cool (or at least I thought I was).

My first car was a pukey green ford pinto. Oh I hated that car. It vaporlocked all the time and then the starter went out and I had to pop the clutch to get it going. My second car was much better. It was a Toyota Corolla 1977. That car was an ugly yellow but it went forever and was great in the snow.

i still don't have a car of my own right now, cars here are very expensive, though there are installment payments that offers but still my savings are not enough of it. but my husband and i are planning to have one someday if out budget fits for it. i want to have a car that could occupy passengers not just our family but also with my parents and sister.

My first car was a silver 1999 dodge durango. it was given to me by my parents, but before it was given to me my sister jacked it up. I didnt care much for that car anyways so it didnt bother me that much when i got in a car accident. i just gave me a good reason to get a new car..
