Do you think there is a reason you were born?

Some people believe deeply that their life has a meaning because they were born and that they have a purpose. Do you think that you were born for a reason? I can't say I believe that my parents made me for a reason and that I have a higher purpose in this planet earth but I'm not a religious person either. Is it a matter of religion or just Believing it yourself? If so then how do you know that you are living up to those expectations?

i just found out or probably realized i do have a purpose in life because i should have been long gone way way back in my early years but I'm still around. My purpose of existence would probably accompany my mom in her life or whatever you call it. my dad passed away 11 yrs ago and my siblings are all married that leaves me and mom in the house. I guess thats it.
