Whenever I try to take him to the shower tub it just goes and hides under the bed, somehow I'll catch him but he starts shivering his legs and body. I have seen my friends dog's; they are very much interested to get wet and play in the water. My dog is pomadian. Does pomadian hates to take bath???

Not all dogs love water, i know this...but my pet dog adore water, she is crazy when is raining time. All day can stay in the rain, no problem. I have a pet wolf sheppard, she is really very clean, adore to take showers, but i can make this just few times in one year, because have a very dry skin and shes veterinary don t let me to bath my pet.
But she adore rain...and i adore too, so my pet tend to have same wishes as me..

All day can stay in rain?? I have two dogs none of them would like to go in to water, they don't even like to get a single drop to fall on them. I thought may be all dogs are like this. But your sheppard is very much interested to get in to the water like you :)

has your dog had regular contact with water? Also have you tried to coax it into the shower by getting yourself wet, hold the shower over your hand maybe. If you felt you have done everything to get the dog to trust you and it just doesn't like water (as many dogs don't) buy dry dog shampoo. it is applied with a comb then pat it dry and wohla, cleaner dog. good discussion.

I will give bath once in two weeks that is the only time he will have contact with water. Besides that he drinks every day as soon as he ates the food. Honestly, I don't know about these products and not sure if they are available in my place. My father bought a shampoo which is used only for Dogs I don't remember the name, I use Dove or sunsilk for him LOL
