How long did it take you to learn how to drive?

I was just wondering how long it took other people to learn how to drive. I just sent my provisional off, planning to learn by october! i havent got anything else to do this summer may go on holiday for a week or two probably but thats it really. so got about 3 months to learn how to drive. Do you think i can do it? How long did it take you? Did you pass first time? or not?

I think you are talking about car driving, well I do not have a car and not yet interested to learn, but I have learnt the two whealer (gearless)with in 1 month. And I am interested to drive my BF bike which is very heavy in weight, I do not know much about the gears but still tried once :) Will learn soon

Currently I have been learning for 2 years but I havn't actually had that many lessons. I keep getting like 5 lessons and then none for months. I can drive fine though, but at the moment I am unable to take my test because of my bad health. Most of the people I know though managed to pass within around 6 - 9 months of lessons. But if it is the summer holidays you will be able to have more continuous lessons and hopefully catch on and pass quicker

cool yeah i know a few people as well who do that take some lessons than have a big break. Hopefully you recover soon and be able to get back on the road and pass!! i think my brother took 6 months or actually less like 4 months. My sister took round about 9 months or maximum a year. My cousin did it in her summer holidays though like im trying to do. she passed her theory in a week though i dont think i can do that!!

i am 39 but does not know how to drive. we never had a car. so thats the reason why i dont have knowledge about driving. lol. until now that i have four children i still dont own a car. i really wanted to learn but it isa waste to learn then i dont have my own vehicle to use the driving skills for. 
i wish i can have my own vehicle and i wish to learn to drive as well.
