It really depends on the season. At the moment as it is the summer where I live, the grass is growing rather fast and is at an optimum growth rate therefore it needs to be cut every single week. When the weather gets a little cooler it only needs cutting every 2-3 months or so because it grows really really slowly when the weather is not warm.

It has been growing like crazy because it has been really crappy and rainny day, once the sun comes out for one day, it grows like 1 feet!

The credit for mowing the lawn at our house goes to my wife. I had a heart attack which wasn't operable and it left me pretty limited. So I have to watch her mow, but she does a great job.
She mows the lawn over a few days. She will mow the second lot we bought for gardening. The garden is still pretty small so there is still a lot of lawn. That will change as we make that lot into a vegetable garden and flower gardens so there will be little to zero grass there.
Then she does the back on the next day and the front on the day after that.
If it's not too hot she will do the lawn over just two days.

well i have about 2 acres of yard and it is not flat by any means. we try to cut it at least once a week that is if it dont rain.. but now that our riding lawnmower broke down we have to resort to push mowing and well it takes me 2-3 days to cut it that is by myself and if it is very hot. so far this summer i have only had to use the pusher 3 times and my son helped me do it.. thank god for kids when they really want to help you out.

Hi mermaidivy, I try to cut my grass about every 100 days. If it is left longer than that it gets mauch more difficult to cou. I have a fairly large area and it takes me over 2 hours. When I was in a previous house I had a lawn in the front and I cut that every 3 or 4 days to keep it looking like a striped carpet.
