oh man! YES!!!
Its getting to the point where it seems everything is going up! Heck, when we started buying the cat food we get, it was in the $18.50 range, now its about $20.50 range.
Litter is also gone up a couple of bucks, where it used to be about $25 for 3 buckets is now over $30.
And then we have the sick cats, we are trying to keep Pong going until he can have surgery in July. We'll probably need to do Solo after that, and I hate for Solo to lose his beautiful long teeth!
And that doesn't even approch what we are spending on fresh veggies for the diet.

honestly, I can't garden, I'm allergic to bugs and almost everything outside - well, I'm allergic to lots of things inside too, but when the allergist asks if you ever have trouble breathing after getting ant stung, you KNOW you need to avoid the little monsters!

I know it does seem like everything is getting more expensive now of these days. And I thought they were trying to prevent that and things will go back down. But I guess I was wrong. It sucks that I tunes is more expensive now $1.29 per song are they insane whos going to pay that price not me. Thank god amazon.com is cheap to still downloading songs. And For gas I wont start complaining till it reaches $3.00 again luckly I live in a state where gas isnt that expensive.

every day, there is always a lack of money and food etc is getting more expensive.. I find that it is even hard to do a big shop as that is expensive anyways and never lasts for the month so it is always back to buying things daily, it would be nice if some places are cheaper...LoLo

Oh yeah I have noticed prices going up plus our gas prices are rising again around here...they keep saying that we are paying less than a year ago but still we are now a dollar more than we were 5 or 6 months ago.. it totally sucks!!
We are going to more discount places for our groceries and eating out much less as well, even with the coupons the money doesnt go as far as it use to.

We cant eat out at all anymore. We barely are scrapping by now. This really is getting rediculious because I work very hard and its not cool not being able to get by. No matter how many coupons I clip or buying sales only the money is here one day gone the next. Everything went up around here except for the wages. I hope things get better soon.

Yes, it is...however, they increase it so slowly, that you don't even realize the prices have gone up until months later, and you discover that the food you buy doesn't last you nearly as long as it use to. They are very sneaky when they do that.

i have been noticing this since the last year. However, I went to the store yesterday and noticed that milk went from $3.50 a gallon to $1.58 a gallon. Cheese also went down. So maybe there is hope!

Our food budget used to go twice as far. I would buy what we needed for the month and extra to stock up in our pantry and have money left over. Now we cant get what we need for the money we have but there is no money to add to the budget. We are eating more cheap foods instead of the healthy things we were eating. I have been working twice as hard at clipping the coupons and chasing deals to scrape by. But what can we do about it?

I cant make the same amount of money last no matter what I do. So I started a little garden. I know that wont help all that much but its something.

I have found many things in the past few years have gotten more expensive. Especially when they all blamed it on fuel prices for the increases at the grocery store. Do you think they lowered their prices when fuel came down to a more reasonable amount??? NOPE.
I had been a SAHM for 5 yrs til last summer I had to get a pt job or we were going to be in big trouble. (or atleast in my opinon) So usually I work 4 hrs since the holidays have been over but when they have a nice sale and they need people & hubby is off I"m the first to jump at the chance as every lil bit helps. But what's really sad is the wage they started me at a year ago is what I was making 12yrs ago **sigh**

Oh yes. In my country food has increased by 25 percent. This is why I asked my daughter to ship so much stuff homke from the USA. At least we will have enough soaps, detergent, fabric softeneer, creams and lotions, rice, tinned food eg tuna, panty liners, deodorants etxc to last for a year.
The prices are horrible and it is very difficult to keep within a budget. Ths is wehy I am growing so much in the garden to help us maintain the same standard of living.Blessings

You are absolutely right. I notice big changes in my budget plans when it comes to my finances now. I still save bigger before compare to how much i save now. i dont really like the decrease but no choice, i have to prioritize food expenses and other things i need to survive. I hope i can save more this time.
I am planning to study this coming November 2009, so i am saving for my tuition fee. I hope i can make it. Happy mylotting and smile always!

Every thing you see is expensive. No matter where you go, you can see that the prices of commodities have gone up. And the sad part is, our purchasing power is on the opposite side. This makes it even harder for people living below the poverty line to survive. For everybody, we need to stretch our budget in order to cope with the daily surge of prices.

Yes, the price of everything seems to have accelerated, yet our wages are the same, if not less. During the fall and winter for instance, when the price of gas dropped some, I noticed that the price of food stayed the same. About 13 years ago, my Mother used to comment on how expensive things were, but if she were alive today, she would really be shocked. We called our furnace cleaner out in the spring, and his rates went up too. There's no relief it seems.

100% totally agreed with you. In my country, I can still manage to have a decent meal for less than $3 last year. My $50 allowance can last me for about 8 days. But now, everything just becomes more expensive. My $50 can only last me for about 5 days. How to survive!!!

Yes, we sure have found that everything is going up in price. It's hard to believe how some things have jumped so high in such a short time. It is discouraging, isn't it?

Ya, seems like everything is becoming more expensive nowadays, and the money value is getting smaller and smaller each day. Perhaps this is the economy, and it's a global trend, seems like there is nothing much we can do for it. The price of all types of materials is increasing, as well as food. Those things in the old days we can buy with cheaper price, but not now anymore. From the econoy perspective, we can say that this is due to the scarcity of resources, where things are getting lesser but the demand is increasing. When the resources and supplies does not increase or cope with the increasing of demand, the price of things will go up. Sigh..i wonder what can we as consumers do except spending wisely and buy only the things we need.
