I live in a beautifull country with lovely weatherand great people. I would not go and live in any other country in the world. Now I see the advertisements - Get you green card, become an American, etc. I even see these on tv. I think it is arogant. Why should we want to became Americans. Is America the utopia that can offer everything one ever wish for. Does America see itself as superior to other countries. What can America offer me that my own country cannot offer me. Does America not have enough of it's own people. Is every person in America so rich that America can afford to look after other country's people. America, you have your own poor people, look after them first before you invite others to come to you. Just like any other coutry, you also have your problems. I listen to what your people has to say about your president, why would I want to come stay there if your own people are so uncertain. America, you are not better that us. Stop being so arrogant and make as if you are utopia. When I see the ad on television I laugh because you make it look like you have only prosperity, girls with red swimsuits and big boobs (like Baywatch). You make it seem that your universities can offer a lot more than any other. The ad show people lazing around, not having to work because the land overfloews with milk and honey. Thanks for the offer, America, but I would rather stay home with my loved ones and enjoy the beautifull country where I was born. To the people of America, this is not aimed at you. I do not know who these arrogant people are that send out these false promises. I aim this at those people, not the real people of America. May God bless America, and all other countries too.

I live in America and it is not all what it is made out to be. First of all, California is nothing like Baywatch no matter how much they make it out to be, second, children here are not given the best education in the world (your child is better off going to school in Japan or Europe), and third, our country is not always tolerant of people from other countries. This country may have been built my immigrants, but none of the immigrants has any real love for each other.

Hey, if you love your country and don't want to move, that's great! There's nothing wrong with that. If you feel that America can't offer you anything that your country doesn't already, then you're probably right. After all, America isn't smart enough to offer free health care to everyone like many other countries do. America also has plenty of people (and too many stupid people). And so far, I don't have a problem with Obama. Bush was a HUGE idiot, though. America's not necessarily "better" than any other country. I think what you said is true and GOOD FOR YOU!

Right, I KNOW that it comes out of taxes, but from what I've heard, in at least one of the other countries, they're not taxed any more than we Americans are. They pay just as much tax and they're getting health care that they don't have to pay for at the time they're getting it. I have a few things that need to be checked out, but I can't afford to go see a doctor about any of them. Especially since I don't have medical insurance. This is really frustrating for me.

Let me put you right on one point. The universal health care that many people in Europe and elsewhere enjoy, is NOT free. It is paid for out of taxes paid by the general working population over the course of there working lives. It's "free" at the point of use only because the people recieving it have already paid for it in the taxes paid over many years. Contrast this with the situation in the USA were all health care costs have to be paid for at the point of use either by the patient or by medical insurance. If someone cannot afford to pay, or has no insurance, (and that's expensive) it's likely that they will not get the medical treatment that they need. There is of course, Medicare which is supposed to act as a safety net for such people, but I belive that provides only limited cover.

America is no more a utopia than many other countries, though it might appear to be so to many people from poorer countries. I'm British and we have the same trouble with the immigration of people from poorer countries who see us as the best place to head for in the search for a better life. We have illegals who cross other European countries like Italy, Germany and France to get here because we have a much more liberal social services system than those countries and a government that is inefective in dealing with the problem.

Stay in your country, then. No one's forcing you to come over here. In the meantime, please stop demeaning my country. As bad as our situation might be right now, I still am darned proud to live here in this country and I definitely would not want to live in another country. To the people of America, this is not aimed at you. I do not know who these arrogant people are that send out these false promises. I aim this at those people, not the real people of America. Maybe you should have specified that at the beginning of your post, because I took it as a personal attack. I agree with you about those who are arrogant you-know-whats, but each country has those. You just learn constructive ways of dealing with them, like voting them out of office or not watching certain movies or TV shows. That's how you handle it. Happy MyLotting!

Hi, I am glad I got you shaken up at first. That was kind of intentional, I wanted to see what response I will get because I know that most Americans are patriots, they love the country. My aim is at the government who try to attract people to America while the country should look after its own people first. How many good Americans are without jobs, now the government wants foreigners to come work there, that is wrong. I would like to visit America, I like the country. I think I will enjoy the every day people, not the hipocrites making false promises to attract foreigners. Blessings

HI,Beertjie! I know what you means,America seems like to regard itself superior than other countries. But I have to admit, the American dream is very attractive to many others .A lot of my friends wish to get further study in American big cities, then, get a job there, married with local people, finally, become a American. That's their life plan.I donn't know why.I love my country,Although it has many disadvantages compareed with America. We are not as that free as Americans, but we are safer, more peaceful, and more unitive. So,I don't want to be a American, but I would like to visit it and to learn about it.

America is a great and wonderful country, complete with freedoms and problems and a great mixture of peoples and beliefs and lifestyle choices. Many of us are not happy with our elected officials, and are hoping to vote a bunch of them out of office, because they’re not interested in serving the people. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet – there are a lot of lies and anti-this and anti-that out there, that are not necessarily facts. For the most part, Americans are loving and caring people, who just want to live and let live. We face the good – the bad – and the ugly as a united people. We know that things are going to constantly be changing, so when it is or seems bad – it’ll change eventually, and we just have to do the best we can to make the best of it. Many countries and peoples speak against us out of not knowing the true facts, and that’s their right, but that does not alter the fact that America is a wonderful nation, and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else on the planet. We are a land of opportunity for many, and are about to reach the point where we have more than we can take care of. Many come here to take advantage of the helps and rights that are afforded them, and that hurts all of us. But still, I do love America, and believe that she will again experience good times ahead.

It may appear in your country. But I am sure America no longer wants us, The Indians. The American President has mentioned " Say no to Bangalore, yes to Buffalo".They think we Indians are taking all American jobs and so and so. Even it was told few days ago that Indian children are buckling up soon, they are coming ahead soon. They do not want us anymore to come
