I am a role model to my three daughters...the youngest is 18. I have shown them that a woman can achieve anything she sets her mind to, even while raising a family. I have shown them the results of hard work and determination, that you can reach your goals and that having faith in yourself pays off. I have also shown them the importance of caring about others even when it's hard, that your word is the most important thing you have and that your faith in God will get you through difficult times. I have also shown them how to stand on your own two feet and to be proud of who you are.

yeah being a parent it is like by default you have to try to be good all the time to set a good example for them, leading by example so to speak. it is always great when you are rewarded by them growing up to be great people. then you know that you have done well by them.

I certainly hope so. We are three girls in the family, being the eldest I tried to be a good example for my youger siblings. When I was in highschool I dreamed of pursuing my degree in the premiere university in our country. When God finally answered my prayer, I took up Geodetic Engineering in the University of the Philippines. Since my sisters looked up to me, they studied hard so they could also enter my school in college. Now that I already have my license as an engineer, my sister just finished her degree in UP. The youngest is now in college taking up Political Science in the same school I've finished mine. My parents are so happy that all of us studied in the best school in our country. My sisters thanked me for it because they said that they would end up studying in other schools if wasn't for me. It seems that they tend to follow my footsteps so I try to think a lot first before making huge decisions because my sisters mentality has something like if my eldest sister did it then why not me. It is kinda hard actually if they look up to you. You don't have to perfect but you must always try to be the best so they could be better.

oh my, that is pretty awesome that you inspired them like that, and yes you do not have to perfect but let them learn from your mistakes so that they do not make the same ones themselves.

Nope. . . I'm not a role model. Even if I were one, I'd be a bad influence.
