This is so exciting, tiring, kind of scary, at first, but I am so glad to be in college at 41 years young! I am working on an Accounting degree. AAS, for now. Maybe a Bachelor's degree, after I get to working somewhere. I cannot decide on which job to do, though. I love all paperwork and numbers, so it will be hard to choose just one. lol

Well, good luck to you! I have thought about going back to school again. I have a high school diploma but never made it to college. I have 4 children and I will be 43 this year. Sometimes I think it would be worth it and then sometimes I think I really will not work that many years to make up spending all that money on the college tuition, etc. I don't know. If I keep putting it off then I guess the decision will be made for me.
Well, anyways I just wanted to wish you luck with this! I have a few friends who are in their 30's and 40's who are in college. It is becoming more and more popular for us ladies that are a little older.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Hello! Thanks for your comment and good luck wishes!
Yes, it si more common for older adults to be going back to college; men, too. It is so great!
I didn't go, for a while, too, because of thinking of the costs, but I qualified for financial aid, free grants, and very little student loans to pay back, and for this state, the student loan payments do not have to begin until 6 months after graduation. That is good. What do you like to do? Also, some financial aid programs have a living expense application that one can aplly for after their first term is done, and it takes about 8 more weeks to hear whther it is approved or not, but they pay an extra 400-700 dollars (not sure if it is everymonth or every two months), but it helps with expenses, but it is considered a student loan to be paid back, but they give time for that, too. Just some food for thought. You have plenty to handle with 4 children! Maybe you could go to some places, part time, and see if they pay while training, instead of going to college. I thought about that, but I do not have any job record, for years, so I have to do this, plus I am having fun, mostly. I look forward to each new assignment, whereas in high school, it was other things I looked forward to and it wasn't school. lol If you are happy with where you are in life, that is the key. There are a lot of other options besides college. Career centers have some other options, too, for career building and that stuff. The one we have here was not for me, but in bigger places, there may be more available.
You have a wonderful week and happy mylotting, too! :o)

I commend you! An on-going education is always a valuable thing. One is never too old to begin or continue :D
Best wishes,
