T.R. Knight released from contract

So it's official - T.R. Knight, who plays George, has been released from his contract (as per his own request). This would mean that George died in the season finale...OR does it?? perhaps the character of george will stay on, with the help of some plastic surgery (hence being played by a different character). What do you guys think? Are you sad to see the actor leave the role? Would you like them to kill the character off or have him played by a new actor......??

I really don't know if I'd like to see the part recast. TR Knight was perfect for the role. But it's a possibility. Before the last episode, I thought that they'd just ship him off with the army, giving him a chance to come back later down the road.....

They could maybe move him to the Peace Corps in Africa... hey, worked for Carter on E.R, didn't it?

To me, it sounded like they were just setting the whole thing up to have some other character to play George, not to kill him off. I think he was a great doctor, especially with the way he acted with patients. I think it would be better if they let him live, and have him played by somebody else. The constant drama and sad stuff on grey's is losing its charm for me.
