I would say the best is to be vegetarian. It's easier said than done though in my case. To be honest with you, this has been my problem since I was a kid because I don't eat vegetables at all! except corn (that if you consider corn as vegetable...hheheh). I always envy people that loves to eat vegetables. When I was a kid, I just didn't like the taste of vegetables. So now, I am paying the prize. I don't have a lot of nutrients in my body. I have a poor eye sight and I gained weight easily eating much of meat.

Well, I guess which one is best depends somewhat on the individual. White sugar and trans-fat are obvious no-no's but beyond that everyone is different. I have never been "on a diet," but I prefer to be a flexitarian (for those who don't know, that's almost vegetarian) just because I like carbs/vegetables/fruits/other protein sources better than meat products.

I am a vegetarian by far as we eat only chicken and eggs. I had no idea there were more than 2 classifications (veg/non veg) till I read an artcile posted on another discussion here and it gave vrious categories. In most part of the world eggs and fish are considered veg when that's not the case in India so I prefer to say I'm a vegetarian but no meat. lol

I am non vegetarian. I and my hubby like to eat non vegetarian food. I know veggies are good for our health. SO I make sure to add enough veggies to our meal. But we like to have chicken or fish or egg in our meal. I can't think of being vegetarian or vegan. May be I will be able to go more than oen month hardly with a vegetarian diet but it will be so difficult to be a vegan.
