Usually just people I know or Mafia Wars players. Sometimes I find/am found by people I haven't seen in years, so it's a great way to catch up with them.

I have about 140 friends on facebook. Now, to me that's a lot but to other people that's not that many. Most of the people on my friends list are people I know but I rarely talk to them. There's a few that I added or that added me and I accepted for no reason in particular. It's no big deal to me since I don't live on facebook like some of my friends do. At first I wanted a lot of friends but then I decided "what's the point". Whenever I do log on I chat with the same 3 or 4 people. That's my 2 cents.

I have found a lot of people on Facebook that are true friends of mine from the past, and also people that I graduated with from high school. When I moved to another country in 2001, I had lost touch with some friends back home. People tend to change their email addresses quite often and for me Facebook is a great way to keep in touch. I only add people that I know, as in friends and relatives, or friends of friends. The last time I looked, I have 66 friends on Facebook. I don't mind adding my internet friends, the people that I am in touch with through websites and such. You can control the amount of junk that appears on your page if you don't want all that chit chat.

If someone requests a friendship, i usually accept. I have made some very good friends on the internet over the years. I look forward to being friends with people.

I add people on my facebook because I know them.. Having a lot of people sit there and know stuff about your personal life, without even knowing them opens up doors that I choice not to open.. I have friends, family, old classes mates, and some of my old teachers on their too.. Granted I do not participate that much on their but its nice to know there is somewhere I can go to talk to those people from time to time.

The friends I have on my Facebook are my daughters and friends, some new ones I have recently found. I don't just add to add people to my list, its not how I feel the friend list should be worked. My myspace is done the same way.
