Do you appreciate and welcome Private Messages sent to you by mylot friends, which contain referral links to join some money earning websites? How do you take it? Do you go and join the site referred therein or you ignore the same, specially, when your friend is not sure about you joining new sites? Would like to know your opinion about referral links.

I really do not have a problem signing up through someones' referral link but if the person sends me private messages without my consent or request then I will definitely go and delete that person.I hate spam and do not go and send uncalled for messages with my referral links to others. And so I would expect the same treatment from my friends here.I accepted a friend request of a person from Delhi few days back and immediately got spammed.I did not even know the person and had habitually accepted her request and she at once sent me a long message about earning money online. It is good to share and exchange links if the other person is interested which is what I generally do.I post a discussion about a particular site if I get paid or if I find the site worthwhile.Only if someone is interested do I send them the referral links.Really nice to post my opinions on your topic.I would love to answer more of such questions in future. It is almost 2 o'clock here. Are you sleeping? ;-)

It depends Deepak whether it is an old friend that I know well or a newbie that is collecting friends just so he or she can spam them! The ones I hate getting are the friend requests that upon approval begin to send you links and spam and that is the only reason for the request! I almost always check out links sent to me by my good friends and spammers I will delete.

Hi Mermaidivy! You have point to make that it is difficult to spare time for working on a new site, we all have paucity of time. Therefore, it would be in the fitness of the things, if the referral links are sent after discussing the matter. There are some members who randomly spam you, without knowing about your choice or willingness. You are absolutely right, I've noticed some of the members sent you a request just for adding you and for sending you some referral links (without knowing about your willingness). Like you I also do not appreciate those PMs which are sent without discussing the matter with me. I prefer to delete those persons from my list, whose only intention is to send referral links. As far as dear friends are concerned, with whom we have good level of understanding, and if they send some links, those are always appreciated. To me also, mylot is the best, I do not feel like trying any other site. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a great day! Deepak

Hi, Fortunately I am not getting that kind of emails in bulk. Earlier I got some and signed up for the friend’s sake but never work for it. I think either they understand my habit or they don’t want to trust me more. So it has been long time I have received any such pm. I have seen many discussions in myot mentioning about the referral links and many are fed up with the same and I think it is natural. If you get pm with referral link in bulk it will be disturbing.

I do not really like to get referral links as I try not to start any other websites to earn money when I can barely keep up with them. My attention span is really specific, lol, that is to say that I have to be really enthralled in the site to keep coming back. There are few sites I rarely visit, and haven't made payout yet, but when I do or even before, I may just stop using the sites altogether and cancel my membership. So I guess to answer your question, I take it well that they send me referral links but I ignore them just the same, although I'll admit I do get somewhat annoyed or irritated in equal amount to that of taking it well. Lol, sorry for the confusion, but really all I want to say is that I pick and choose when I get annoyed and when I do not get annoyed. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hi SomeCowgirl! You have point to make and I fully buy your argument that if you donot have much time, it is difficult to spend time on other sites. Yes, the site should keep you glued to it, then only you enjoy the site. There are some members who randomly spam you, without knowing about your choice or willingness. I do not appreciate those PMs which are sent without discussing the matter with me. Yes, when old friends send it then no problem. Many thanks for dropping in and for responding to my post and sharing your thoughts.

A pm is much more appreciated whilst it being from an older mylot friend then a newer one. Those who ask to be added without even any notion as to how they came to know of you, and then you accept and they spam, no it's impolite. I appreciate your comment back to me, and as always am glad to have a conversation with you.

Hello my friend dpk262006 Ji, WEll, I would not encourage any of such activities till I ask some of my friends. First thing my stay and association is only just to remain in touch with International community and not to earn money. We have sufficient fund to take care of us rest of life. But it might be in my case in particular. But I will reply and request member/friend that I do not encourage such things. May God bless you and have a great time.

I think mylot is the best site and there is no site which can change my mind so that i will leave it. But after mylotting i still have time for some extra sites so i am always eager to know about genuine sites with least payout thus i welcome PM's informing about other sites. I realy hate SCAM and SPAM so i am completely against it. Happy mylotting!

Hi just! Undoubtedly, mylot is the best site, I've not found any other site to the level of mylot so far. If you have time to check other sites, then I think you can try other referral links, sent through PMs. I do not feel like trying any other site. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I would not appreciate receiving these links by PM in mylot unless I had asked for it. If I was in a discussion about a money making site and wanted to join, I would ask for the link because I know that they can make money from referrals. If I was sent a link randomly without asking for it, I would just ignore it.

Hi Mag! In nutshell, you do not like to receive referral links. It is strange that some members add you in their list or send you a request for adding you in your list, just for sending you some referrals through PMs. I also do not appreciate such PMs and do not reply. I do not have time to check other sites. Have a great day!

Only is I ask for. Also, I may consider something if people are talking about serious business. Something that is lucrative, new and it is worth looking at. However, I may take it from long time friends from Mylot, not new members.

hi deepak, Yes in the past I did join some links just because they were sent by my friends, though later on I gave up due to some reason or other. But I am always willing to become referral of my friends and am happy if they earn more by my joining their site.....but I am sure all don't think like me, because you see , till today I don't have a single referral for mylot.....

No I don't. I don't get rude about it, but as I've made it clear many times that I'm not on the net to make money (except from my writing) I don't like it when people send me referral links. But that said, if a good friend (like you) sent me one that they KNEW I would be interested in because they know me well enough to know my interests, then I would check it out and be grateful.....

Hi Spark! You have point to make that if you are not interested, then such PMs are not encouraged by you. It is right that when a good friends sends us a link, we go for it and rely on our friends that s/he would have sent something worthy and interesting. You see if I am going to send you a referral link, I will not send you before satisfying me that it is worth a try. I would not like to waste your precious time and I hope its vice versa is also true. Many thanks for dropping in and for responding to my post and sharing your thoughts. Deepak

Being a new member here, i really don't mind much. I just check the message, mostly they are links for the sites i already know, so i just ignore and move. But i understand for older members, with lots of friends, good and bad, it may be a bit trouble some, if somone goes on Messanging referral links.... Till now for me, its fine...

I don't appreciate getting these links at all and my closest friends would never send them to me. I completely ignore them and just instantly delete the message. If someone does it a second time, then I'll send them a PM back telling them to please stop sending links like these as I have no interest in online earning sites. If it happens yet again, I'll delete them as a friend. I do appreciate that people want to get referrals, but I'd rather be left alone when it comes to things like this. The WORST though is when people place banner graphics for their schemes in my friends comment section on my profile. Thankfully that hasn't happened for a while now, but if someone does that, I get very annoyed and will usually instantly delete them as a friend.

I do receive links from friends and normally I will sign up just for friends sake. I don't feel nice if someone ask me to be their referral and I refuse especially if it is a close friend. I will willingly sign up but again whether I be able to be a good referral or not is another story.

Hello dpk262006, I don't respond to private message which contains referral links as I don't trust in any sites that offer online earnings anymore (except myLot) If I receive one, I just read and leave it like that. I won't have a second glance P.S. Thanks for adding me in YM. Sorry that I don't chat during working hours though I am available. Hope you understand

If it is someone who has been my friend for a while and we have communicated all along...then I would be ok with it. If it is someone who requested my friendship for the sole purpose of sending me a referral link then I would delete them. I think it is just wrong. It's like an online telemarketer. It's annoying and it isn't friendship....instead of hanging up, i just bleep them away.

I only join if me and that person had previously discussed the site or I asked them about it. If you randomly spam me with referral links you get deleted. I never send any of my links unless asked or discussed first. There is no reason if the person was interested they would let you know. I hate it when they do that.
