Designer dogs?

i don't care for them! We have enough dog breeds in the world and unwanted dogs! So we arn't satisfiewith what we got? We had to make breeds like the Ladadoddle,the Goldendoole and others? I don't get it?

I agree designer dogs are mutts and people who have them are nuts!

Designer dogs are nothing more than mutts. My 17 year old just brought home a puppy that was left beside the road. I took it to the vet it is healthy but was not quite ready to be taken away from its mama. We have babied it and fed it. It is now her dog and follows her everywhere. Cries when she leaves it. This puppy the vet said is a rottweiler, cocker spaniel, sharpi mix. Now i guess im a proud owner of a Rockerpi puppy. See any one can have a designer dog. Go to the Pound and get your self one today.

Rockerpi puppy? That isn't a designer puppy it a true mutt! Yikes!

At some time all of our existing dog breeds were designer dogs, they were designed to be faster, smaller, or bigger, have good eyesight or good noses all these things came into being because of man's desires. Now we need smaller, happy dogs who don't need to hunt or run fast, just be good companions.

I get that all breeds started off as designer dogs! I think today's designer dogs are mutts and I hope this is just a fad! People are paying 6 times for a designer puppies then for pure breeds! That is insane! If I could have a dog I'd go to the humane society and adopt one! I wish more people would do that then spending money on a man made designer mutt!
