The switch to DTV took place last friday. I was ready! I have cable! Anyway I heard the digital transfer would cause the picture on the screen to look distorted on a non-HTD tv! That didn't happen! My screen picture looks like it alawys has! I just hope my dad and his girlfriend got their convert boxes allready!

Digital TV and High Definition TV really have no relationship. If you didn't have a High Definition before the transition, than the transition does not magically meke your TV into to one but it you didn't have cable or something than your standard TV should be better with the digital with a converter box than it was before the transition. You will probably not notice much difference with cable and actually I have one station on my cable that is worse since the transition; it is now grainy when it wasn't before.

well that that look disorted was going to happen just if you didnt have the converter box, but for those who have sattelite or cable on their analog tv's their look was going to be the same so thats fine that bad look didnt happen to you
