I've been a stay at home mom for 8 years now. When my youngest was born, I quit working to stay home with her. I was pretty scared about staying home because I'd always been a career driven woman, but she had a few health problems and needed to be home, not in a day care! It's a decision that I believe changed me for the better! I haven't been able to even imagine working outside the home now and she's almost 9 years old! I just want to always be able to be there for all of my kids and not have to tell them that I can't come get them from school when they're sick because mommy's at work. Or not be able to help in their class or bring that assignment they might forget! I've found such a huge void filled by being a stay at home mom. That's why I'm on here....because finances have gotten tight and I'm trying to find a place where maybe I can do some data entry from home and still be able to be here for my kids. Wish me luck :)

I can understand what your going through. I was a stay at home mom and I now I am a new single mother. The economy doesn't make it any easier.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I think it is tougher in today's economy too...And I think I am strong and determined so I believe I can do this...it's just figuring out what "this" is :)

btmoore, being available for your kids is so worth it in the long run. You will be able to find what your looking for, I'm sure of it. Many companies are out-sourcing now to save money. Best of luck to you and yours.

Welcome to myLot btmoore. my hat is off to you for staying home to care for daughter. My advice is that you never ever pay for any information about a job or pay for programs for making money on the inter net. I did order a $1.98 program and that was a big mistake. That $1.98 has cost me about $100 dollars and I had to get a new ATM card because I thought The program would help me. Good luck.

Welcome to Mylot. I hope that you have a lot of fun and make many friends here. You will not earn that much money but the contact with people is so very good and rewarding. Remember when you answer a discussion to write at least 5 lines to earn. Best of luck and I hope tha tyou find other sites that will pay you too. I work full time ans so I barely have enough time to keep in touch with my friends here.

I have worked outside the house for 32 years and now been home taking care of my granddaughter for a little over a year and I get quite nervous at times because I can't find anything online that will pay any of my bills. Its quite scary but I keep praying that something will happen and that God will point me in the right direction because I too don't know where to start. Good luck to you and remember being home with your kids is the greatest gift you can do for your child and for you.

Hi,
I'm so sorry things are getting difficult for you and your family. Unfortunately, I can relate completely to your situation. My fiance lost his job about a year ago, and I had just found out that I was pregnant with our first child! I began immediately looking for income to help out, and I knew I wanted to stay home, so I quickly turned to the internet for answers.
I became a victim to a few scam out there, which I'm sure you've come across. Luckily (and this is the happy part of the story!), I came across a team of moms who were working from home, earning an awesome income, and I found out the company was backed by the Better Business Bureau. I have now been apart of the team for a little over a year! I have been earning a residual income every month since I started :)
I would love to share some more info about our team. If you would please check out my website, that would be great. It will give you a little more info on our team, and if you like what you see, there's an opportunity for you to leave your contact info and I will call you to visit with you further!
I hope that everything works out for you in the future, whether you decide to join our team or not. I wish you and your family the best!

Good to know that you have keen to spend time with children to bring them up. Your hardwork deserves praise. You can earn money on internet, but it will not be too much and would hugely depend on your hardwork. You can write articles, reviews and surveys that would help you earn more income and now that your children are all grown up, you would have more time. If you need help, Just accept my friend request and send a message. I can help you!

Good luck. I know it's tough. I've been home for almost 3 years, since my son was born, and there have been times when I've almost had to go back to work. I even got a job but turned it down because I couldn't bear to leave my son in daycare. I just continue to tighten our budget and find ways to earn a few extra dollars, and it all seems to work out. If you want to bad enough, most times you can make it work. Being here is a great start. You'll earn by posting and learn about other opportunities to earn online.

i am in the same situation, although i was not career driven. i worked because i had no choice. i have been home with our 8 year old son for 4 years and it has been such a gift but also a real struggle financially. i do surveys online everyday and mylot and product testing and babysit and do the bookkeeping for my husband's business. these are ways i make some money but it is not enough. if you find out anything legitimate please let me know right away as i have been searching for years and found nothing that pulls in enough money. i did avon and herbalife and melaleuca. i need to earn way more and my babysitting job ends in october so.....stay in touch if you find anything worth sharing.

Good for you!
Keep on believing and keep on looking. Please be wary of all the scammers - and my advise to be always suspicious (especially if it's promising millions). I'm not saying that they don't work - I'm just saying that you should do your research first.
Good luck!
(P.S. I'm not a stay at home mom - and I don't think I'll ever be. I'm just trying to make extra income from the internet.)

I am also a stay at home Mom and I too am getting nervous about our finances. I was laid off when I was 6 months pregnant with my 4 month old and our household income was cut in half. My husband and I decided to tighten our belts so I could stay home after the baby was born but I am seriously getting nervous. If I could be laid off from a supervisory job after 10 years with the company and over 20 in the industry he could easily be laid off as well. I need a back up plan....I am just not sure what that is.

Hi btmoore99,
Myself too a Stay at home mom. Initially i started blooging, so as i can still interact and not become dull staying at home. And now my son is 3 years, but due to several reasons, poor economy, dono wanna leave him at daycare, i still can't go back to work. So now thinking of helping the finances by earning something online.
