I have always worked. Well, up until I became disable. In past, I have paid my taxes, and never had problems with IRS. However, I found myself in little trouble with IRS because of Illness(taxes got out of control) not enough income was coming in each month, and there you have it. Just a little advice, if you are sick or become disable (and you haven't or don't know when you will return to work - PLEASE do yourself a favor and contact the IRS or Franchise Advocates office. I was in this situation - contacting the IRS and Franchise office(s) and yes they helped me (gave me little more time,etc.. to pay) but once I called the Advocates office they really advised me and that in itself took off a lot of pressure. I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE. Plus, I had never heard of the IRS ADVOCATE OR FRANCHISE TAX ADVOCATE - HAVE YOU? Again, I hope this helps someone.
