If you read the Bible, when do you read and how do you read it?

I want to do better with the Bible reading. I need to make more time. However, if you do read - when is it good time to read the Bible. How many chapters, and often through the week you read? Also, how do you retain the information? I know it is through studying but I mean do you read and stop and meditate on that or just keep reading.
Thanks

This is a really good discussion because the Bible is really important in everyday life because it is Gods word and it teaches us what he wants from us,and how we should live our lives, and I am sure that there are probably a lot of people out there who read the Bible everyday, and then I am sure there are people who read the Bible occasionally especially if they are really busy with their job,or if they have a lot of things to do around the house, such as clean, cook,or take care of their children if they have any,and I think it is good if everyone reads the Bible especially on Sundays since that is the Sabboth day and no one is supposed to work, and I am sure there are a lot of people who go to church on Sundays, and I am sure there are people who do not go to church at all,or every Sunday even though they want to,and when it comes to me and my fiance,we do not go to church yet,but we are thinking about it,because when we have kids we want them to go to church, and we try to read the Bible every Sunday and we always relax on Sunday and do not do anything to make money, unless we have to,such as if we promised to mow her moms yard, and if it rains on Friday and Saturday then we will do it on Sunday, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Hi tiffanymarie, I like to read a little of my Bible everyday, you can have your Bible handy and read a verse or two before you leave the house. Also, Proverbs is a good place to start, as it contains 31 chapters, when you get time you could read 1 chapter a day. I've done that before, and then I think about it off and on during the day. One of my favorite parts of the Bible is Thessalonians (in the New Testament), because it speaks of the return of Jesus. I hope you can get good quiet time for reading God's Word. Blessings to you.
