Where do you sit in church?

At my local church, there were certain seats that people sat in. the general feel was that it was scorned upon to sit in other people's places, and you can be made to feel extremely uncomfortable (usually by old people) if you were to dare to sit in their seats. Does your church have an unwritten seating "rule" or is it ok to sit anywhere?
