If you could learn any language, what would it be?

I would love to learn German since many of my ancestors came from Germany in the 18th century. I also think French and Spanish are beautiful languages.

I would like to learn French just because it is beautiful. However, it would only make sense to learn Spanish because the Spanish language is being used more in the United States. It would be useful to learn a language to communicate with the most people to make yourself as marketable as possible in the job market.

Good point; Spanish would probably be one of the most useful to learn. I would also like to start a Latin course - just to say I have - but I'm not quite that ambitious!

I tried to learn some in school as well; unfortunately I can't remember very much of it now! Oh well, must keep trying.

I'd like to speak French, just because it is such a pretty language, but Spanish would be much more useful in my area. I speak only English, though.

I would love and have always loved to learn Latin. Not quite sure why maybe the link between English and Italian (I'm trying to learn), and for medical reasons as it would have made veterinary nursing easier. And now as i want to do general nursing I'm sure it would help.
