I don't know if you heard, but apparently in Germany a lot of people have had their shoes stolen recently. The culprit? A fox! Apparently the vixen had stolen over 100 shoes from outside people's homes to provide toys for her cubs to play with:)!
Bizzare as it might seem, the shoes are supposedly still in good condition and the owners are being re-uniting with their stolen footwear. My question is if it had been your shoes that had been stolen would you want them back?
Also have you had anything weird stolen from your garden or home by an unexpected culprit?

I have had nothing stolen from without, but many shoes from within have made it to the toy bin!!! I usually give them an old pair so they are content, then do not go for more expensive ones. In the case of the fox, Nah! let him keep them, they AR toys, would u take toys from your " babies"?

I'm glad you posted this! I read this in the paper a few days ago and actually was meaning to talk about it here but didn't get around to it, so thanks!
If it were my shoes, I'd probably not only let the fox keep it for her babies, but I'd go through my closet to see if there were more shoes I don't wear that I could donate.
Luckily, nobody really bothers to steal form me, aside from he squirrels getting my berries in the garden, but they probably need them more than I do anyway. I did have a problem with the nipples from my son's baby bottles going missing, and they'd turn up in my dog's mouth, but the dog could not get them for the shelf I keep them on, turns out my kitten was taking them and then giving them to the dog! Same thing happens with Christmas tree ornaments here, the cats knock them off the tree and the dogs chew them up, they conspire together. LOL

Yes I would probably let the fox keep the shoes as well. It is funny really, and really cute:) Having someone take them back off the fox and her cubs seems a bit like the idea of someone taking candy or toys away from a child:)!
What are the poor little baby foxes going to play with now? Looks like their mother will be on the look out for more shoes:)
The only things that I get stolen at the moment are my hair bobbles. My cats like to steal them from my dressing table and hide them around the house. At the beginning they were very secretive and I didn't know what was going on. But I soon found out when they started to do it right under my nose:)!
The fact that your cats and dog worked togther at stealing the Christmas tree ornaments is really funny:) The first time my cats saw a christmas tree they ran straight up to the top and it toppled over! The baubles went everywhere and they seemed to be having a great time rolling them around the room:)
Thanks for your response.
