Is data entry online job a scam???

Hi guys... doies anybody knows about this data entry jobs online, I just want to know if this site is really true or a scam.... I registered on this site a week ago and spent $50 for a registration fee... I dont know if this is a scam because when I already signed in, the contents of the site are a lot different from its advertisement, it doesnt involve any typing jobs and the jobs offered are limited and most of them require a data entry skills something like that... and I have to advertise their books to get some referrals and once somebody has click the referral link and registered his name and email address whether he or not buys the product, the site will send this details on my e-mail add and thats the only time that I will enter those details on this so called data entry form... Im really disappointed upon knowing their system...Im not expecting that this is the kind of data entry job they referring to...
So please can somebody tell me if this site is genuine or a scam... just respond to this please...thanx a lot...

Unfortunely, there are not alot of legit data entry job out there,but everyone wants one. So the scammers come out and create websites to prey on people's emotion. www.guru.com is a place where you can big on some small data entry jobs and then work up a reputation in their system. I haven't done that site but it is legit.
I do understand your need to make some extra money at home. I have been working for several call centers for a few years now at home. Mostly early morning and while the kids at school because I need to keep the house somewhat quiet when doing it. It is legit work and there is decent money to be made. http://wahjobs.blogspot.com has a listing of some of those companies.
