are you afraid of hospital needles?

yes, i will take as much pill as possible but taking needles i will scream like a one year old. thats just another hill i need to get over.

I don't fear needles really.When I was a child, I feel really sick. At that point in time I had to receive injections,almost every second day. The smaller needles are bearable.But the ones they inject into the veins (intravenous), the pain is excruciating. Since I had to bear that at a very young age. I don't fear needles really. If I do need to get some injection, I do close my eyes. I can't see the needle being injected into me.

I don't mind the normal needles that get pricked into my arms, but the freakin massive needles that I don't like, hurts very much.

I am too afraid of needles and I do my level best to escape a needle in the hospital as I think it will hurt me again as the last time.I have run out of the hospital once and I was sitting quietly in the car just to tell others that I had already taken the needle so that they do not scold me. I just hate the needle in my flesh. It hurts me.

hhhmmmm. i still find hospital needles so scary but i know how to control my fears now and thats one of the fears i needed to take extra courage. and im glad i did overcome it. but sometimes, if i am not in a right mood or my mind is not yet set for it. i got scared again. but with a nice mind setting i know i can. thanks friend jhelai

hi flagella, I am also was afraid of needles, even though I have been operated for how many times still I am afraid of it. I don't even want to go to a hospital anymore for it reminds me of the operation I have been and also every time the nurse or the doctor try to detect my nerves it becomes undetected I don't know why maybe I was too nervous. I understand your father there are lot of people like us who were afraid of being in the hospital. Try to convince him it is for his own good. God Bless.
