I would have to say that raspberries are my favorite fruit. That comes from way back 50 years ago when I used to come to New Brunswick from Ontario with my parents to visit my sister and great aunt and grand father.
I was only about 4 years old but I remember it like it was yesterday as shortly after that moment myself and my other three brothers were put in foster care until we were 18. So I never saw them again for more than 15 years.
So raspberries have a strong emotional feeling for me that hasn't changed in 50 years. Mmmmm
So what's your favorite fruit and do you have a story to go with it?

raspberries are also one of mines. And bananas, watermelon, and mango.
It´s really difficult for me to choose just one, because I am a fruit eater. I love them.

MIne is mango.I love them and they are really delicious. When I was growing up, our neighbor from our old house had this mango tree which grew into our veranda. We used to "borrow" some of them whenever it was mango season and eat them.

Mmmm mango. I have only ever had dried mango and I am sure that's not the same as a nice fresh mango, is it?
I had a similar experience growing up. We lived on a farm and had an apple orchard but our neighbour had pear trees. We would climb up the tree and sit there eating pears right from the tree. That's a good childhood memory. I was about 8 or 9 back then. That was almost 50 years ago and I still remember it clearly. Mmmmm
I will have to get a mango next time we go grocery shopping. It will not be as fresh as picking it from the tree but I will get an idea of how good they are.

Well I don't have a story to go with it but i do love many fruits. I love mangoes, orange, pineapple, watermelon, custard apple, apple, grapes and many more. I don't understand which one to say my favorite. Because if i get all of them then i would all of them at once. Oh! And even strawberries.

i love mangoes and banana! i love mangoes because its widely available from where i live and we have the sweetest and delicious mango in town. i like it ripe or not, dried or fresh...they are all good!
i also like bananas because i think its very nutritious and delicious also. i like the davao variety of banana.
there's also another fruit here that i like the mangosteen & "marang" (i don't know how it is called in english) it looks like a jackfruit, but its smaller and softer...but its really good. i just eat marang when i go to my husband's province because it is much cheaper there than in our province, it almost triples the price! huh! and that's the first fruit that i eat when i first visited my husband's province here in the Philippines.
actually there's a lot of delicious fruits here and i like almost all of them!

Without any second thoughts, I'd say that my favorite fruit is the alphonso mango, which I guess is produced only in India in the Konkan region. I stay in the same state where the Konkan is region is situated and I have got a hand (rather a tongue)sometimes at the real natural fresh alphonso mango. Trust me, it's heavenly! This fruit is in great demand overseas too. The last time I heard, we fell short of it because the demand from the US was increased to a great level. Sigh, it's becoming more expensive every year despite the fact that the export is increasing drastically! But still, there's a village where I have the roots of my family. It's near my city and not in the Konkan region. But the mango (from our own farms) there is delicious too. Not as much as alphonso though!
I also like guavas but as a second fiddle!

Doesn`t that just suck when they ship products elsewhere around the world and then put the price up right in your backyard.
I have never had a mango that wasn`t dried out and candied so I will have to try one as fresh as we can get here, which I wouldn`t imagine is too awefully fresh.
thanks

Hi,
I love everything namely fruit. If i never eat that one, i will make a try. Every fruit have its own taste and have specific important manner. Like vitamins and minerals are parts of fruit component. If some fruit taste not enjoying you, maybe there are lot of usefulness that we did not know already.

Hi WebMann! I have alot of favorite fruits! I absolutely love
canteloupes and strawberries! I think they are my favorites!
Then I also love bananas, but then who doesn't? I enjoy
watermelon too! I also like seedless green grapes and Honey
Dew melons! I don't have any particular stories to go with
my love of fruits! I happen to love summer fruits the most
as you can tell by my choices and I wish that the produce
where I live in NY was better and not so expensive! Melons
here are usually $2-$3 each so I have to wait for them to
go on sale!

Watermelon is my favorite fruit. Just imagine that you are outside under the extremely hot sun, and there's a piece of frozen watermelon offered in front of you. That's the best fruit to cool yourself. Watermelon is extensively grown here in my hometown. The relatively cheap price is another factor that I like it very much.

Hello WebMann, I love mangoesteen! It's very asian and it skin usually stains. So we have to be careful when we eat one. I was 4 years old and it was my birthday that day April 23rd. I was getting ready for my small birthday party at home and I stained my new pink dress! So sad, but I was enjoying the juicy mangoesteen!

mine would be strawberries. its hard to get them here in my country since our climate is not very conducive to growing strawberries. We only get them when we go to one of the provinces here where its cold enough to grow them. the trip going to Baguio is always memorable so that's what i remember whenever i eat strawberries.

Our little strawberry patch gave us lots of really fresh and tasty strawberries. I planted just one plant last year and this year it has grown into a patch that is about 3 feet wide and 6 or 8 feet long now.
I can hardly wait until next year to see how much we get.
Strawberries are about second on my list, raspberries come in first.

i love lanzones fruits, it's only seasonal, by month of october there would be lots and lots of sweet lanzones around the corner, i love it so much, i can eat 1 kilo of it. next to lanzones are grapes, sweet seedless grapes but grapes are expensive here in the philippines so i just rarely eat it.

I have never heard of lanzones fruits so I had to look them up to see what you were talking about. I understand now that they taste a bit like grapefruits.
Grapefruits were one of my favorite fruits before my heart attack. Now, because of medication I have to take, I am not allowed to have grapefruit. And that sucks, nothing better than a good grapefruit.

Papaya and watermelon. It's interesting that I have inborn favor for the two. And coincidently they have a lot of nutrition.
