I use the Secret when it came out

Hi, my parents introduce me to the secret a few years ago..or maybe last year. Then after wathicn in on youtube i feel like i'm a more positive person then i was before. I could also see my families status has change a lot since the secret. to be honest we believe in it. And it does come true. Ellie

I am also an avid fan of this book. I have been practicing the vision board for almost two years (I started january 2008). I was happy because I was able to accomplished my vision little by little. In January 2008, I have place that I wish to get married within the year, it happens in May 2008 then to travel outside my country. In August 2008, I have travel to two country. I am still working on to have my new car and hopefully a new house. I think there is no harm if we believe in something that we have read, the important thing is that it helps us to be motivated and keep us positive about life.

I learned about the secret watching Oprah, I saw the preview so something told me I should make sure to sit and watch this when it came on, I was so glad I did, I ordered the dvd right away, what I learned about the secret mainly is that I was right all along, just did not know what it was, I always thought I had a strange way of looking at things,then you surround yourself with negative thinking people you start to forgot about your beliefs, when I was younger I lived by the secret, I always got what I wanted cause I knew I was going to get it, I was blessed really young, not only with things, but knowledge, my problem was I had no one in my life to enhance this part of me, so I started to complain all the time, why do I have to work so hard, why this,why that, slowly but surely I lost all the things I worked so hard for, I begin to think negative all the time. Now after watching the dvd,knowing that this is indeed the truth, I can't get my mind back to the place it was when I was younger, my daughter bought me the book for my birthday last year,I read it once, you see what I mean, once your mind derails from the place it use to be, it is so hard to get back,some people feel the secret is a gimmick to get money from people, the secret is not telling us anything we don't already know, being here in mylot is a good place to start getting your mind right, but I need to do other things as well, one of these days when I have money, I want to order a case of dvd's and books and just share them with people in my community, have classes and discussions about the secret, this is something I would love to do. I know I will be alright again, being here sharing my thoughts with people here in mylot only tells me I am headed in the right direction, thanks for the post.

I own the book and the four disc CD set. I have read the book many times, and listened to the CD's till they have grooves in them! (You old school folks will catch my reference. lol) There is such a wealth of knowledge in them, but one thing many people fail to grasp is that the third step has actually been omitted from the "Ask, Believe, Receive" mantra. That step is ACT...Ask (for your desire), Believe (it is yours), ACT (take the steps you are being shown), Receive (your manifestation). If your desire is to own your own business, you cannot simply ask for it, believe it's yours, and receive it. There is a series of steps that must be taken in order to receive it. There are many great teachers in this world, several of whom are included in the Secret. And while it's true that the basic concept is nothing new, I believe many people have benefited from the Secret in all forms. I know I certainly have. Thank you for mentoring young people, nightreader29...it's a very important calling!

After I read the SECRET it led me to many other books that have to do with the Law OF Attraction which also teaches you do create your own reality. What they left of the the Secret was that we are all vibrational so whatever we are vibrating the Law of Attraction brings to us. Knowing this you can direct your thoughts, therefore your feelings you can create your own reality by deliberately setting your vibration. It is a Law that goes on with or without your knowledge but when you do know it, its amazing how you can bring in your life what you desire. My life has changed for the better ever since I learned this. What you talk about, what you think and feel is what you live. It really has been a blessing to have this wisdom. Good luck in all you do.

I think many people misunderstand this book, the secret of attraction is just that, attraction. But each person must be able to identify that which is attracted. It may very well come in disguise just as it did to you. Each life is filled with lessons but the choice is ours as to which we will accept. No matter how much you want great wealth and the house on the hill, that may not be what is offered to you this life, but the satisfaction of recognizing and following the road that is given gives you everything you need. It is wealth and happiness in the form of acceptance and belief.
