Have you taken driving lessons before from a driving institution or were you just taught someone you knew who could teach you?
Taking driving lessons from an institution or from someone has its own pros and cons.
When you want to learn how to drive as a pro or what other people used to call them "defensive driver", you are more likely to be more of a protective one. You don't just overtake other cars, you are more alert, more focused and more careful in driving. The thing is, here in Philippines, enrolling in this kind of program is way to expensive for average filipinos like myself.
So since I don't have enough budget and had no idea before the difference about the two, my mom's friends offered his help in teaching me...
Happy I was since it was just for free and I only had to treat him to dinner. thought it was okay but you see, i lack the knowledge about the traffic rules, being not so courteous to my fellow drivers, not used to in putting my seatbelts on.=)
How about you? did you enroll? or were just taught? How did it turned out? Hope you don't have the same experience as I had.=)
