Are You A Sims Fanactic?

I can proudly say I now own Sims 1, 2, and 3. I might be short of some of the expansion packs with 2, but I do proudly own all 3 of these, and play these as time permits as well. I just never seem to have the time to get to more than just 3 anymore due to time constraints, and wanting to post here.
But for those of us who own all 3, I am sure you have all noticed the differences and changes with all of them. Which one is your favorite? What is some of the things you have learned, or what do you like to do with them? (One of my favorites, which is mean, LOL, is to build a Swimming pool for my families, and then go and invite guests in there to Swim, and then remove the ladder and advance the time really fast to where the people in the pool end up dying.
But Yes, I would consider myself a fanactic of The Sims for sure, and seem to always loose track of time anytime I find myself playing this as well.

That is an interesting concept... It would be interesting to see for sure on that one though, but I really wonder out of people who like or dislike Sims what the totals are for Men vs Women. Would be something interesting to see.

I love playing SIMS.it's fun controlling Sims' lives.you get to control when they get to eat and when they get to sleep.my favorite thing in Sims is torturing the babies.

Yes you do loose your babies is you do not care for them like you should, and have someone come and take them away. I once had all of my people employed and had a baby in the house, and then pressed to where the game advanced faster so I ended up with a lot of problems from this, but it was interesting. I think I ended up not saving it also just to try another scenario as well.

oh I just love those sims! I used to play them on a regular basis on my playstation 2 console. However, things have changed now and I have gone one step further! I'm a member of the good old secondlife and it's the same kind of thing only, you are dealing with real people behind an avatar! There's a lot of fun to be had in this virtual world and I'm really addicted I have to say, especially to the building aspect. I think that by playing these games there's a certain logic involved and I'm sure that they are good for the good old brain! Are you a member of secondlife yourself? If not, you should get on in there, it's a tremendous place. Andrew

I am sticking with only the Sims. I do have friends who have played both, but since my time is so limited between working full time, and trying to post in here in myLot, check my Email, spend time with my husband, and do the other things I do online to earn some Extra $$, I do not have much time for anything else.

Yes with 3 you can do more of the designing and decorating the house indoors than you could with a lot of the others, and this can be interesting for sure. I think they are really coming up with some awesome things now, and it is interesting to see and experiment for sure.

Yes, I am obsessed with Sims. I have played Sims 1 and 2. To add, I have the complete expansion packs of both. Sadly, I have not played Sims 3 yet. Actually, I am not sure what the difference with Sims 2 and 3. All I know is that Sims 3 has more customizations. I am not able to play sims much anymore because of work. But in the past, I used to play the sims for at least 10 hours a day when I have no classes.

There are quite a few differences between 2 and 3. 3 is definately the best of all of them, and quite interesting. You can make your people Fat or thin, change the color of their faces, choose more careers, etc. I really think when they came out with 3 they did an excellent job for sure.

I wanted to get the Sims 3, but have decided to wait. I know that once I start playing one of the games that I won't stop, and we really need the money that I'd be making without playing the sims, lol, or the variants. I can't say that I have ever wanted to kill my sims, but I have put them in one room without a door just to see how long it would take for the sims that don't live there to leave. This was on the sims 2 game cube edition.

How do you put all of your Sims in a room without a door? I would think that would be a Quick way to kill them off as well? I guess this is a New one, and maybe one to try sometime and see what happens.

I am also fan of Sims series although I did not get my hands on the sims 3. But I will someday for sure. What I liked about sims is that it resembles a lot to our daily lives and in the process its a complete fun. Like you I also lose the track of time while playing sims.

Sims going to Jail? Wow!! I guess I have not played 3 enough yet to see that happen. But I am just getting used to 3 for sure. What I found interesting is that unless you have Cooking skills, etc. you better not eat at someone else's house unless they have Food set out there for you, or you will make them mad.

I haven't gotten past Sims 1, but I plan on doing that the second I have enough money. lol As of now, I'm contenting myself with killing off my Sims who've become too boring and putting new ones in their place, building new houses, and the like.
hehe It's too funny to see Sims mourning at a grave of a Sim they didn't even know. :P

I like building Swimming pools at my homes in Sims 1 and then having a party and inviting lots of people sending people to the pool and then removing the ladder to where no one can get out, and killing them all of that way. But overall you really need to try 2 and 3 where you can do so much more for sure.

I'm not but my 28 and 30 year old daughters are. One daughter will have it on all day and go back and forth to it. My youngest daughter will be on Sims from 7pm till 10:30pm at least 5 nights out of the week. She talks about it like its real people and real life. It's totally ridiculous.

Well, she looks at Sims like it is real life... I am sure she is not the only one. I know that only Sims players understand you when you talk about the Sims. But myLot can be the same way... people here talk dream and eat myLot and think nothing of this like they do real life, so everything needs to come in a little form of moderation for sure.

My daughter loves the Sims games. I used to have Sims Tower and I enjoyed it a great deal but it did seem to take most of my time. I lose track of time easily and I don't like to do that as I need to stay focused on the jobs that I do online. I think that I will check her Sims game out though.

I AM!!!!! lol. and i do agree, you do not notice the time when you are playing sims. i do not have all because i cannot really afford to buy one, a friend just lent sims 2 to me. hehe and well can you zip the sims 3 and share it with me?? hehe
i also did that pool thing hahahah and sometimes i would also not buy a smoke detector! and when a sim would try to cook and end up burning the food and the stove and the whole house!! and the sims would die as well..and a reaper would arrive and take their souls and tomb stones will apppear!! hahaha it was funny and morbid at the same time..
there are also other functions like more of an adult function if you know what i mean ;) hehehe and they would end up having a baby!! its crazy and funny...but i do enjoy playing with it and decorating the house and putting furnitures and flowers and shopping.

I love The Sims...years ago I had the first one with all expansion packs on my computer. My favorite expansion was Hot Date because it introduced leaving the house and going somewhere, plus it pulled in more social interactions. But my computer used to run so slow with it, that when I bought this computer, I just installed The Sims 2 on it but none of the first Sims. I don't want to ruin my computer over it. :)
How cruel! Removing the ladder...how could you? Haha, so did I. I felt horrible but I did it. I always thought, "Just climb out!!" My favorite was building a tiny house with a fireplace, filling it with plastic plants, having my Sim light the fire, and then removing the door. I felt absolutely horrible while doing it...and I couldn't watch them die...but I still did it. :) I guess because we'd never kill people in real life it's fun to do it in videogames? Haha, I have no idea...
It's so awesome to see older generations playing videogames. Keep at it! :)

Yes, I spend about five to seven hours a day playing Sims! It's been pretty much the only thing I've done during the summer so I'd probably be bored out of my mind if I had not gotten the Sims. I have spent a lot of times late at night playing Sims.

Yes I admit it. I'm a fanatic and obsessed with the Sims.
I have all the sims games apart from ipod and mobile -Pc, Console, Handheld, Sims Stories, everything!!! :-P
I have all the games and all the expansion packs also.
my favourite in the series is the first probably because all the memories I have with it.
Me and my sister used to stay up all night taking turns with our familes every hour. I used to make churches and other places for the sims to go to. And of course I tried out most ways to "accidently" kill my sims :-P
Also my computer was quite old and wierd thing happened to it that stopped the sims working in english so I installed it in French and continued playing. After about a month The French stopped working so I installed it in Spanish and it kept happening so I think I pretty much went through all the languages.
Also I think i've rebought the original sims game about 9 times so far lol
I also dont get to play the sims as much anymoredue to school work :-(
