my mother is really controling. she gave me a card for my graduation yesterday with money in it then told me exactly what i'm allowed to buy with it. isn't it my gift? she does this type of thing all the time. I don't waste money i usually don't even spend it i put it in the bank for a rainy day.

I guess it depends on the restrictions. I have recieved money before and was told I could only spend on something I want instead of putting it towards a bill or groceries. I can understand it too a degree.

well usually when i get money i put it in the bank or pay bills but then it all works out to the same if there is something i need or want and take the money i saved that month from the bills allready being paid and buy something else. so to me money restictions don't make sense. it will get saved or spent on something eiter way. weather if i use that money now for bills and then used the saved money from bills to buy something it all comes out the same way. the restriction was to buy new clothes for work but i just spent about 250 on clothes for work two months ago when i got my new job.

I see your point. I wouldn't want new clothse either. Just say that's what you bought. lol
