Hi, MyLotters, Do you believe you can have a personal relationship with God?

I believe a personal relationship with God is possible. We can get to know him through his word ( bible ). We also can get close by pray and fellowship with other Christians. I ask your view on this, I just would like to know how you believe? Have a great day.

Perhaps, we have different definitions of personal relationship. Reading a book and socializing with fellow believers does not sound personal. I got to have DIRECT CONTACT!!!!! Perhaps something few people really desire.

True, everyone has their idea what a personal relationship should be. Thank you for sharing. This is why I have discussions to learn how others believe. Have a happy day.

Thank you for this topic. I believe that life is much more fulfilling with a relationship with God. Growing up, I only thought that "God" was that thing you reach for when you are at the end of your rope. That sense that God is that something bigger and grander than all of "this" day to day pain and joy. I wondered why a "God" would allow for the pain and greed that hurts so many people - - where was He in my time of pain? It was only after long reflection and talking with people from across the spectrum of strong belief to "what are you talkig about?" that I began my relationship with God. Pain and sin are part of the expereince I found. No matter one's religion, I hope that people can enjoy, for even a little while, a relationship where you can talk to the Almighty and know that He/She hears you and appreciates your interests and concerns. Though I believe this not to be the case, maybe I will someday find that there is no God afterall and that I have been deluded. Well, my stay on the earth was made fuller and richer by that delusion. Enjoy this day God has made you...

I agree with you one hundred percent, I do believe if we stay faithful we will see the salvation of the Lord. We will reap the rewards with Jesus one day. I rather have this hope in glory than be wrong and in up in Hell. With what we have we can not lose. Have a great day.

I don't beleive in god and the bible is just a work of fiction. So no I can't have a personal relationship with a fictional character.

I find this sad on your part, but you do have your own beliefs, and I will not question them. Have a good day.

God is a super-natural being. No human mind can ever comprehend HIM fully.Science is incapable of understanding or explaining HIS ways.Even this present science makes no sense without HIM.Yet the greatest thing about HIM is HIS love and HIS willingness to have a personal relationship with HIM.All we have to do is accept HIS love and make way for HIM in our lives.Bible is mind-blowing.Surely its not a work of man!!!To recognise that you need to go into it!

It is obvious that God's oneness differs from Man oneness. Man's oneness makes him limited. It is not possible for man to be in two place at same time. But God can be on his throne in heaven as well as here on earth. man can not truly know God except through his divine revelation. It is not possible fo r the human mind to understand the nature of the infinite God. This is Meher Baba's Quote: Love the one in the many and not the many in one, I am the only friend who will never let you down.
