Is Epinion.com paying for reviews?

Hello friends.
I'm wondering if some of myLot members are working on epinion.com.
As far as I understood (if I've not misunderstood) Epinion is a site like ciao (or better I should say like ciao was) that pays for your reviews.
What I would like to know is:
1) anyone of you already got money from this site?
2) how much they pay? They pay on a "read" and "rate" basis like ciao done?
3) international (non US) members can be paid from epinion?
4) Do they pay via paypal?
If Epinion is a valid ciao alternative, I would like to join the site.
Please let me know.

I like Epinions a lot, but I think they are a much better site for US users. Only US reviewers can get review bonuses during the monthly promotions (for instance, they sometimes have monthly promotions where they will pay you a set amount per review...that's how I've made most of my money there). Another issue is Epinions only pays by check ($10 minimum) so international users will have to absorb the fees. Epinions' revenue sharing is different from Ciao's -- I think it's based more on sales generated than reading or rating (in fact, I don't think ratings directly affect earnings at all but they have an indirect effect because they influence how many views your reviews receive). You might be able to make decent money with revenue sharing if you write about big ticket items, however. I usually write media reviews so my revenue sharing money is usually quite meager. Epinions, by the way, is a very old site...they've been paying people for a long time and can be trusted. I don't think of them as a Ciao alternative because Ciao was actually an Epinions alternative!

Yes I found too that international members have lot of iussues with Epinion, about the cheques, and taxation too.
I guess you're totally right, Epinion is really much better for US users.
Well, wish I can find a good alternative for the "hole" ciao leaved to us.

Actually this is the first time i heard the site epinion.com, did you ever search for the site, i am also looking fot a site like ciao. Maybe your discussion can help. Hoping there are members here who know about the site you are talking and if it sounds good i will be happy to be one your referral =)

I really wish this site could be a good alternative. I'm trying to find some information on the net, but I really would like read from some mylot user their own opinion on this site. Usually get a fresh and direct opinion is the best way to evaluate a site ;)
Wish Epinion is a legit site, and pays international members. In that case I will be honored if you will be my referral there ;)

I was browsing at Epinion just now and finding out if I can be able to join this site. But I'm not a US resident and it would take great efforts for taxes,etc..I think this site will not work for me..thanks for the info
