I would love to just dive right into the deep end.... however, I can barely swim and would freak out trying to swim to the shallow end. This summer when I go to the pool I want to really leaarn how to swim and not be frightened by going in water past my chest.

I love diving. I have hit the bottom a few times on home pools. So usually now I only do shallow dives. Technically, I could dive into 3 foot water, but I'm too scared I'll somehow mess up and hit the bottom. So I only do shallow dives where the water is at least 8 feet deep, just in case. I'll dive off a board and deep down if the pool is 12 feet deep or more. Otherwise I don't risk that.

Yeah i can just don't worry about it just dive far in and if it is about 7 feet or more you shouldn't have to worry about hitting the bottom and incase put ur hands out in front of you as you go down so your hands will feel the bottom
